• SAT Reasoning Test – collegeboard.org

*All Juniors will take the ACT at school for free on WEDNESDAY!
• Both are tests of college readiness
• SAT is recommended spring of junior year- May 4, 2019
Register by April 5th to avoid late fees!
• If your student has an IEP or 504 and would like to request testing modifications they must do that at least 7 weeks prior to testing. See Mrs. Carter for more information.

PREPARING FOR POST-SECONDARY SUCCESS
Plan College Visits
• Walk around campus
• Attend a class
• Interview admissions officers
• Talk with other university students
• Eat a meal in one of the dining halls
Think about Letters of Recommendation
• Ask someone who knows you well
• Choose teachers of classes where the student was most engaged intellectually, showed creativity, or completed a special project or independent work
• Talk to the writer about your dreams for college and a career
• Have a resume prepared and complete Brag Sheet
