Selection
Grades
Show off your academic progressFinish Strong
Junior year is the most important year for your college applications is because it’s the last full year of high school that colleges see.
Make up for past mistakesColleges like to see one of two things: Strong performance that is maintained
throughout or an upward trend of doing better and better each year.
Great grades is defined differently for all students. Colleges do not expect A+ on transcripts from students.
Your best can be C’s or B’s and that is still GREAT!!
Course Selection
• Important notes for course selection
•Do your research on college requirements
•Consider the rigor of your academic schedule
• Look at electives to find opportunities
• Deadlines will be enforced and schedules locked
• Level changes, summer school or college/career change
