Stay for a while after the Operations Seminar and Safety Training, or come in early for the Winter Workshops the next day.

Spouses’ Event: Mass Ave Experience

IMAA invites the spouses accompanying our Winter Workshop attendees to join us on an outing to Indianapolis’ Mass Ave district. Learn about Indy’s farm-to-table dining revolution, sample The Best Chocolate in Town, and shop at some of Indy’s eclectic, independent boutiques.

Featured Speaker: Ward Nye, Martin Marietta

C. Howard (Ward) Nye is President, Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Martin Marietta Materials. Mr. Nye served as the Company's Chief Operating Officer from 2006 to 2009. He is currently chair and serves on the executive committee of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). IMAA would like to thank Mr. Nye for volunteering to speak at this year’s Winter Workshops. His presentation, The Big Picture of the Aggregate Industry, will be during the General Session on Tuesday morning.

Featured Speaker: Susie Townsend, Visit Indy

Susie Townsend is the Senior Vice President of Visitor Experience at the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association. A 21-year veteran of the ICVA, Townsend is responsible for the management and support of service initiatives for major city-wide conventions. Learn how the ICVA faced the challenges of recruiting, training and organizing an army of volunteers to work toward a common

goal. Her presentation, What it takes to organize a Super Bowl, will be during the General Session on Tuesday morning.

Safety Training on Monday

This year, IMAA will offer an 8-hour Annual Surface Refresher Safety Training on Monday, January 27th. This class will satisfy the requirements of Part 46 and Part 48 (B)-Surface refresher training. The 2014 Operations Seminar – “Plant Modeling Using AggFlow Technology” is a hands on seminar to introduce and support the basics skills of modeling plant design. The seminar is designed for foremen, superintendents, area managers, etc. that want to understand and help design the type of plants they need to match the products needed in the marketplace. This modeling technology allows them to experiment with various types of crushers, screens, flop gates, feeders, etc. to end up with designated products that meet specifications. It will allow them to try the various types of equipment and see what works to maximize the system and still reach their product specifications. At the end of the day, participants will walk away with a working knowledge of this type of plant modeling software.

The email addresses will not be distributed in any way.

Can I register more than one person at once? Yes, there are multiple Attendee sections on the registration form (BE SURE TO CHECK THE REGISTRATION ITEM BOXES FOR EACH ATTENDEE). You can copy the first page for more attendees and total everything on the second page. You can also register multiple attendees online—be sure to fill out the Attendee Information for each individual (Name, Company, Email).
