A training programme was arranged on "Change India" through the

Master Mind Solution Ltd. For T.Y.B.Com. Students. 400 students of

English Medium participated in the programme. Mr. Aslam Charaniya

was the key speaker in this programme on 19th July, 2018.

Dr. Girish Kumar Rana coordinated the training Programme. He

introduced Mr. Aslam and his colleagues. Mr. Aslam focused on the

changes in Robot and smart printing in the coming years and their effects

on employment and career building. He focused on technical and digital

development and let the students understood about Artificial Intelligence

and its effect which will make a lot of changes in future and explained the

different issues of current youths through the videos and ppts. He also

stressed on not to be a job seeker but creator. He focused on

entrepreneurship and motivated the youth to be creative and inspired them

He also expressed thanks to the team members for organizing the

seminar. Mr. Chirag Sidhpuria and Ms. Shweta Patel gave their best for

this training and also expressed satisfaction for the information they got in

Jyot Trust, Organized Awareness Programme on commodity Derivatives

on 24th & 25th August 2018 at sports complex sponsored by MCX-India.

Total 1200 students participated in three different sessions. During the

seminar, there were extensive sessions on Introduction to commodity

Derivatives, Benefits of Hedging, History of commodity Derivatives

Markets, Regulation and Economic Benefits of Commodity Derivatives.

The senior Manager from MCX-Mumbai Head Office explained in detail

about the functioning of commodity Exchanges and the need and

importance of commodity markets in India.

and focused on financial literacy. Principal Dr. K. N. Chavda said

"financial literacy is the cornerstone of a healthy and vibrant commodity

future market in India. Dr. Girish Rana introduced the guest. Prof. Chirag

K. Sidhpuria co-ordinated the whole event and made vote of thanks

ceremony. Brunch and Study Material was provided by MCX-IPF to the

Students.

On 28th July, 2018, motivational seminar on “Today's Education”

was conducted at J. Z. Shah Arts and H. P. Desai Commerce College by

Mr. Sanjay Rawal, a motivator and Speaker. He had covered the

drawbacks of education field in his speech. Motivational speech and

health awareness were also covered by him in that seminar. Shri

Ashvinbhai Patel, Gaurangbhai Desai, Kalpanaben Desai and other

trustees of the Jivan Jyot Trust were also present. This seminar was

conducted for all school teachers, college professors and students of the

Jivan Jyot trust. Everyone enjoyed the seminar and got motivated.

A one day seminar on “વાલીઓને મ ુંઝવતા પ્રશ્નો અને તેના ઉકેલ” has conducted

On 30th July 2018, at our college in order to solve the problems of students and their

parents related to career. The keynote speaker was Pritiben zaveri. Principal Dr. K.

N. Chavda, Dr. G. N. Rana, Prof. Hema Dave and Prof. Chhaya Naik gave their

precious presence in the seminar.

Total 367 students & their parents got the benefit of this seminar and find a

solution of their problems. With the skills and strategies learned during the seminar,

parents can help children grow in confidence and resilience. Pritiben zaveri show

parents how to get more cooperation from children, to communicate more, to try

new things and to persevere – as well as how to do well academically and

socially. Parents learned how to support children in academic, artistic and sporting

endeavors - without placing undue pressure on the children. Everyone enjoyed the

seminar and gave vote of thanks to Pritiben zaveri.

On 6th September, 2018 seminar was organized in our college, Speaker in this

seminar was Mr. Mahesh Savani who is Chairperson of P. P. Savani group. A

seminar was arranged for the girls who are getting Scholarship under the Scheme of

P. P. Savani group. Respected Mahesh Savani sir has shared that what is the aim

behind this scholarship and what one should do after getting the scholarship. Thus,

he shared that this scholarship can only help to face hindrance of finance but other

hindrance must be faced by scholarship receiver.

As a scholarship is a boon for the financial weaker students all students heartily gave

thanks to the Mahesh Savani sir.

Under the Employability Enhancement Programme, Institute of Business

Management, Pune had organized seminar on Interview Skills on 22nd December,

2018 in the sport complex of our college to help students about how to prepare for

an interview. The speaker of this seminar was Viramdev Singh (Regional head,

PIBM) and CA Nikhil Nainani. He had shared so many tacts to pass the Interview

and also how to handle the situation raised in the Interview. 1050 students gain the

Ideas related Interview skill like Basic interview rules and strategies, The types of

interviews they might encounter, What the interviewer controls, How to maximize

their positive influence during the interview, How to structure their responses and

prepare answers to key interview questions, What to do if something goes wrong,

Interview Tips and Techniques and How to maximize abilities to convert a job

Interview into a job offer.

Seminar on Awareness of Capital Market was organized on 22nd

December, 2018 in all classes of our college in different session. Organizer of

this seminar was Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the speaker was Resource

Person of Bombay Stock Exchange Prof. Bhavik Shah.

He had explained that what is Capital Market and how one can earn from

Capital Market. He had also highlighted the importance of Capital Market for

the progress of economy and the need for participation in it by the people for

the benefit of individuals and the country. The discussion was led to

information about investing in different types of financial assets by considering

their risk profiles, time horizons and other characteristics. All students got very

worth full information about Capital Market.

40th Annual Conference of South Gujarat University’s Teachers of

Economics (Forum) was held on March 17, 2019 at J.Z. Shah Arts and

H.P. Desai Commerce College, Amroli affiliated to VNSGU, Surat.

Professor Dr. Kiran Pandya has been working as a convener of the

forum for more than a decade.

On the Inaugural function the chairperson of the forum Prof.

Rohitbhai Shukla, Prin. Dr. Hemaliben Desai, Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda,

Dr. S. Srinivasan Rao Head of the Economic Dep., VNSGU, Convener

of the Forum Dr. Kiran Pandya and Prin. Dr. Dilipbhai Varsani

inaugurated the Forum by lighting the lamp. After the felicitation of

guests Principal Dr. Kishor Singh Chavda gave a welcome speech. Dr.

Kiran Pandya gave information about the activities of the forum. Dr.

Hammaliben Desai, Dr. S. Srinivasara Rao and Prin. Dr. Dalipbhai

Varsani gave occasional Speech. After that Retired professors, newly

appointed professors, Ph.D., M. Phil, NET-GSET, GPSC or any other

special achievement holders were honored by the Forum.

After the inauguration session, Professor Rohitbhai Shukal, the

Chairman of the Forum, gave keynote speech. At the beginning of the

session Dr. Kiran Pandya gave information on the legal provisions for

collecting statistics.

Dr. Smriti Balsari gave detailed information on how the sampling

frame, sampling method, time frame, communication and code

influence. Dr. Gaurang Rami gave an interesting insight into how the

numbers are calculated on the kits (general price-surface) and how time

and weight have changed over time. Dr. Jayesh Desai informed the

industry sector statistics about how and when it was collected, and

explained its shortcomings. Dr. Yogesh Vansia gave detailed

information about agricultural statistics. In the group discussion was

on the topics like, how the secondary information is collected, how the

various variations are defined, what are the limitations of the methods,

etc. was discussed. Professor Rohitbhai Shukal, the chairman of the

session, summarized the discussion and presented his own views.

The conference was concluded after thanks giving and national

anthem. The host institution, and especially Principal Dr. Kishorsinh

Chavda and his team had organized the entire program well and the

invited guests and professors thanked the entire team. The whole

program was managed by Dr. Zankhana Parmar and Prof. Chhaya

Naik.

J.Z. Shah Arts & H.P. Desai Commerce College, Amroli & Indian

Accounting Association jointly organized 11th forum in the faculty of

Accounting, Commerce, and Management on 23 March, 2019. In that

forum 75 professors actively participated. The objective of the study circle

is the introduction, sharing and interaction of new concepts under the

faculties of Accountancy, Commerce, and Management so to uplift the

level of Education of South Gujarat. Study Circle is established by

principals and professors from the South Gujarat University Colleges. The

study circle jointly organized this 11th forum for the achievement of the

objective. This Programme was inaugurated by the president of Jivan Jyot

Trust, Shri Bharatbhai Shah, Vice-President Shri Girdhar Gopal Mudra &

Shri Bhanubhai Shah & Secretary Shri Ashvinbhai Patel, Shri Anujbhai

the Study Circle after the felicitation of the Guest of Honor. The chief

guest and the other guests of the programme felicitated the retired

Professor, newly appointed professor, qualified NET/GSET professors,

Professor who achieved M. Phil, Ph.D. degree, newly appointed principal

in the subject of Accounting & Management from 2015 to 2018.

11th forum of The Study Circle was ended with the finalization of the

syllabus of the Master Degree Accountancy course. The programme was

successfully organized by Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda with the co-ordination

of Prof. Dr. R. D. Rana.

District Sports officer’s office, Surat organized a literary camp from

1st February, 2019 to 5th February, 2019 at J.Z. Shah Arts and H.P.

Desai Commerce College, AmroIi. The Chairman of Gujarati Subject,

Dr. Rujuta Gandhi, delivered a speech about the Sahitya Shibir.

Chairman of the cultural department of Surat Municipal Corporation,

Smt. Rashmikaben and District Sports Officer, Honorable Mr. Dinesh

Kadam Sir were present. Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavada and Professor of

Gujarati Department felicitated Invited guests with Books. The guests

presented their inspirational experiences about literature. Then Sanjay

Leelaani spoke about the history of Gujarati language and the poetic

essence of poetry and Dr. Bhaskarbhai Shukia also presented his initial

talk about poetry.

During this five days of camp Mrs. Rekha Bhatt, Dr. Bhaskarbhai

Shukia and Dr. Rujuta Gandhi gave their views on literature, Song-

ghazal, rhythm and figure of speech with examples. The participants

enjoyed the sessions.

On the last day of the camp Prin. Dr. K. N. Chavda also aware the

students by giving the concepts of Gujarati Literature. Trusty of Jivan

Jyot Trust Shir Kantibhai Malavadawalaji and other Professors

distributed certificates to all participants. After that the participants

also shared their experience in this camp.

Thus, during the five days of the camp, all participants got

information about the various forms of poems like song-ghazal-

achandas etc. and were inspired to create original. Regional youth

development officer, Vipul Bhai Sadhu and Mr. Hirenbhai Patola from

District Sports officer’s office thanked the experts and the

administrative staff of the college.
