Akson sel piramidal hippocampus membentuk alveus & fimbria → fornix → ke :
1. Commisura anterior, corpus mammilare & nukleus medialis
2. Commisura anterior → nukleus anterior thalami3. Commisura anterior → tegmentum mescencephali4. Commisura anterior → nuklei septalis, area
preoptica lateralis, & bagian anterior hipothalamus5. Serabut bergabung dengan striae medullaris

Fungsi Sistim Limbik
Melalui hubungan hipothalamus dengan sistem endokrin → mempengaruhi aspek mempengaruhi aspek emosiemosi: takut, marah, perilaku seksual
Hipocampus berkaitan dengan memori berkaitan dengan memori barubaru → jangka panjang.
Lesi pd hipothalamus → tdk dapat menyimpan memori jangka panjang, tapi yang lalu sebelum timbul lesi tidak terpengaruh → amnesia anterogradamnesia anterograd
