For you, we lifted performance, effi ciency and comfort to a level unachieved up to now. So, the new R-series has the innovative PowerTech PVX motor with Green Effi cien-cy technology, which cannot be outperformed regarding effi ciency and performance. As it does completely without additives, you only tank up diesel – and you only need to do seldom.Also where comfort is concerned, our forest technology has much going for! Innovative working and biological aspects

Kotschenreuther forest tractors dispose of an innovative CAN-BUS remote diagnosis system. Machine-relevant data can be transferred via modem to our service engineers. This direct access to the board electronics allows to correct the basic settings, as crane speed or sensitiveness. So, sources of defect are quickly found and corrected.

Kotschenreuther forest tractors are designed for environment-friendly use already now. The engines can be run with biodiesel (rapeseed methyl ester). For feeding the hydraulic circuit, Bio-Hy-Gard oil can be used. Bio-Hy-Gard oil is produced on vegetable base and is biodegradable!

Motor and gearbox are set free from their bearing role, the motor is supported on rub-ber mountings. So noise and vibration transfers are successfully avoided. This legendary frame concept was again optimized in the new Kotschenreuther forest tractors. Only a few points about that are the weight distribution – and so the traction, as well as stee-ring and load bearing capacity.

In order to guarantee the productivity of our woods, we need the most modern forest technology. The aim is to keep the woods accessible on skidder trails, using narrow ma-chines and broad tyres.

The spacious command center of the R-series is im-

pressive through its excellent equipment on the level

of upper class cars: high quality materials in fi rst-class

workmanship, ergonomically sophisticated operating

elements and pure comfort. You will also be taken with

the additional space offered by this cabin which is a

considerable amout of 20 % bigger compared to our

K-series Premium tractors. The R-series sets new stan-

The ROPS/FOPS and OPS tested safety cabin offers eve-

rything you expect from a comfortable and functional

GreenEfficiency – Power on call

Incredibly powerful, quickly reacting and with a strong torque: The new PowerTech PVX motor unfolds an amazing maximum power of 192 HP, or even up to 259 HP with the intelligent power management. Such an impressive power is made possible by the four-valve technology with high-pressure Common-Rail injection (HPCR), which furthermore increases the motor effici-ency with a pressure of 2.000 bar. At the same time, the turbo loader with variable geometry (VGT) increases the motor power and decreases fuel consumption, by generating always exactly the necessary loading pres-sure.

The cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cools down the exhaust gases and mixes them in a defined ratio with fresh air. Nitric oxide emissions are so reduced. Additionnaly, the motor power is increased by the high-ly performant cooling system CombiCooler and the de-centralized charge-air cooling.

Our premium solutions which have been developped for forestry, do not take second place to those made for upper class cars. And of course, our R-series tolerates B20 biodiesel, too.

Certifi ed fuel effi ciency

When buying a forest tractor, you wonder of course how much diesel it will consume under hard conditions of use. That is why all of our forest tractors must undergo the DLG PowerMix test which is based on practice-oriented test procedures.

In the DLG PowerMix test, basic work processes of forestry practice are recorded and then displayedin laboratory. So, the fuel consumption of forest tractors can be compared in a realistic and fair way.

The KOTSCHENREUTHER forest tractor of emissionsstage IV which has been tested with DLG, shows the lowest total fl uid consumption (diesel+AdBlue) ever measured up to now in this exhaust gas stage: it is only 260 g/kWh.

GreenEffi ciency with diesel particle fi lter: Technology tested in cars• The cooled exhaust gas recirculation decreases the emissions of nitric oxides.• The variable turbo loader geometry (VGT) contributes to lowering fuel consumption and provides more effi ciency in combustion.• The high-pressure CommonRail injection (HPCR) optimizes combustion under high pressure and reduces the particle elements.• Through automatic regeneration, diesel consumption increases by less than 1 %.• The cost for maintenance of the diesel particle fi lter, compared to the lifetime of the forest tractor, are approx. 10 cents per operation hour.

• Transport works with Pusher. The deportation is the revo- lutionary success system for all transports on the field and in the street. It unites and optimizes the advantages of all known transport systems.

• Use as low platform trailer, e.g. for transport of harvester or forwarder. For varying applications with full flexibility, we recommend the low platform trailers with wheel well. A variable number of axes, persistent loading area for material transport, and thanks to the wheel well also usable for the transport of heavy machines, these vehicles can be used for nearly all purposes

• Logging trailers for flexible use. They are best suited for cutting timber in agriculture and forestry as well for loading and transport in agriculture. The forest trailers are available from 7-ton trailers up to hydraulically run 12-ton trailers.

• - With the VARIOLÖFFEL, machines can be used like multi-purpose and forest machines in a more versatile and therefore cost-saving way. No matter if in earth work and channel construction, in gardening and landscaping or in street and road construction – the VARIOLÖFFEL allows quick and fl exible work in all possible situations, thanks to its two different work openings (in V-form and rectangular), the special V-form and the round bottom and the endless rotation.

• - The harvester aggregates form an integral range of intervention harvester aggregates. In development of this range, the focus was put on their fi tness for purpose. The best materials and components have been chosen. Among the priorities were the maintenance-friendliness and the productivity under whatever conditions.

Lopper and hedge shear

• The loppers and hedge shears consist of a fi xed, rough-cog knife and a moving knife which is driven by a hyd-raulic cylinder. Due to the relatively slow movements (no quickly rotating parts), there is no danger through fl ying wood chips, splints or splinters.
