Prep porcelain as required for direct application. 2. Take PVS impression of restoration / take shade. 3. Have lab build opaquer into restoration to hide underlying metal. Dr. should draw on RX exact location of metal to obtain improved esthetics. 4. After case returns from lab, check contours, fit, and shade. 5. Prepare metal and porcelain surfaces, as with direct application, tinplating or sandblasting metal and silanating porcelain. 6. Place primer onto all surfaces, cure if recommended. (Primers usually have a very thin film thickness and will not inhibit complete seating of restoration). 7. Prepare restoration as usual, (Etch, silanate, ect). 8. Utilize a dual-cure luting resin because the opaqued restoration may block out light-curing ability. 9. Apply a dual-cure unfilled or lightly-filled bonding resin onto all surfaces and seat restoration completely. 10. Remove excess luting resin, light cure, finish, and polish.
