Aug. 2012 – Oct. 2012Medill Equal Media Project - ReporterSpent 10 days reporting on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues in North Carolina as part of an LGBT journalism initiative. Completed a fea-ture story on North Carolina’s LGBT families and contributed to a map of relevant issues in national elections.

Dec. 2010Refugee Lives - Reporter Traveled to Otjiwarongo, Namibia, to document refugee conditions as part of a team that spent two days in Osire refu-gee camp and four days in surrounding Namibia writing, photographing and producing over 40 stories, available at www.refugeelives.org.
