“Pledge to be Healthy” for June There are many ways to break a sweat or shed a few pounds without joining a gym. You can improve your health by just taking a few small steps.
Do leg lifts before you climb out of bed.
Take the stairs instead of the elevator but if you have to take the ele-vator do squats during the ride.
Do sit ups, pushups and jumping jacks during T.V. commercials and challenge family members
to see who can do the most before the commercials end.
March while talking on the phone. Work in your garden, garage, and
basement. If you own exercise equipment use
it for its intended purpose and not as a clothes rack.
Drink plenty of water. “It's all about quality of life and finding a happy balance between work and friends and family.” Philip Green

The Beauty of Butterflies
Week of June 27-30
Once again, we will be making our butterfly habitats. It
is very interesting to watch them grow and evolve into
lovely painted ladies. During this time, we
will study their life cycles. We will then set
them free. It was very special last year when
they let us enjoy their beauty.
