Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha
28th March, 2013. In 1981, HH Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal, affectionately called Mahaperiyaval, directed a few devotees to form a trust that would perpetuate the following every year:
1. Perform the Aradhana of Paramaguru, the 67th Acharya, HH Sri. Mahadevendra Saraswathi Swamigal;
2. Organise food ( Annadhanam) for 3 days for all devotees attending Vyasa puja.
3. Perform Annabhishekam for the Lord at Gangaikonda Sozhapuram every year. With His Blessings, a trust named Sri Kamakshi Seva Samithi was formed in 1981 to fulfill His directive. Since then, the Samithi has been faithfully following the directives of Sri Maha Periyaval and the above activities have been performed year after year without fail. This year, the Aradhana was be performed on 12th Mar, 2013 in Kanchipuram. The Vyasa Puja will be performed on 23rd July, 2013. In order to continue the activities as also to include some more initiatives, the Samithi, under the guidance of HH Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, and HH Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal, continuously enhances the number of members and also the Corpus. We started the initiative of distributing the Mutt’s Calendar (in English) to the members last year. This year, the Vijaya Samvatsara Calendar will be shipped out to all the members in April. Keeping in mind the squirrel story that Sri Maha Periyaval always used to narrate, saying that a small contribution from several devotees makes the task more meaningful, the Samithi requests devotees to come forward in large numbers and become members and thus be part of an initiative that Sri Maha Periyaval had started. We look forward to continuing to fulfil Mahaperiyaval’s wishes. Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara
Kind Regards
