Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. operates and licenses convenience stores. The company’s

convenience stores sell tobacco products, grocery items, beverages, coffee, snacks,

beer, wine, and fresh food offerings, as well as other retail products and services, road

transportation fuel, stationary energy, marine fuel, lubricants, and chemicals. It operates

its convenience store and road transportation fuel retailing chain under various banners,

including Circle K, Statoil, Kangaroo Express, Couche-Tard, and Macs. The company is

also involved in the sale of lottery tickets, calling cards, gift cards, postage stamps, and

bus tickets; and issuance of money orders and cashing cheques, as well as automatic

teller machines and car wash services.

As of April 26, 2015, it operated and licensed 10,078 convenience stores located in

North America, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltics, and Russia, as well as 4,700 stores,

which are operated by independent operators under the Circle K banner in China,

Guam, Honduras, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, the

Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. The company was formerly known

as Actidev Inc. and changed its name to Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. in December

1994. Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in

Laval, Canada.

Evansville, IN

EVANSVILLEEvansville is the county seat of Vanderburgh, County, Indiana. As the state’s third-largest city and the largest city in Southern Indiana, it is the commercial, medical, and cultural hub of Southwestern Indiana and the Illinois-Indiana-Kentucky tri-state area. Situated on an oxbow in the Ohio River, the city is often referred to as the “Crescent Valley” or “River City”.

ECONOMY

The broad economic base of the region has helped to build an economy which is known for its stability, diversity, and vitality. The largest industry sectors by size in Evansville are health care, finance, education, and manufacturing. Corporate headquarters located in Evansville include Accuride, Atlas Van Lines, Springlead Financial, and Vectren. Evansville has emerged as the tri-state’s major center for the health care and medical sciences industries. Deaconess Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center, along with the Deaconess Gateway and Women’s Hospital, provide the anchors for a vast health care system that are also among the region’s largest employers. Educational institutions such as Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana also contribute thousands of jobs to the tri-state annually.

ENTERTAINMENT

In Evansville there are plenty of family attractions, exciting nightlife, and the education and culture of seven themed museums. Historic Bosse Field, a 7,180 seat baseball stadium located in Garvin Park, was built in 1915 and is the third-oldest ballpark still in regular use in the United States. This 100-year-old structure for America’s favorite pastime is a must see.

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is one of Southwestern Indiana’s most established cultural institutions. This general museum maintains a permanent collection of more than 30,000 objects, including fine and decorative arts and historic, anthropological, and natural history artifacts. Over twenty temporary exhibitions are displayed every year in four changing galleries.

Evansville has a long and rich history supporting athletic teams and events the University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana regularly draw thousands of spectators to NCAA sporting events. The UE Purple Aces basketball team plays at the Ford Center. The Ford Center is a multi-use indoor arena downtown it is the city’s premier entertainment venue and is mainly used for basketball, ice hockey, and music concerts.
