Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org Summer Principals Academy Abilene, KS July 23, 2014 Slide 2 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org Currently educators now have the ability to verify student course rosters provided to KSDE by school districts. Since student performance is a mandated component of each educators evaluation, it is important that the educator is aware of the students for which he/she is being held responsible. Teacher Access to Student Performance (TASP) provides educators the ability to review their students history of State Assessment scores. Historical assessment information also assists teachers in providing effective instructional curriculum especially to new students entering their classrooms. TASP Overview Slide 3 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org TASP Scope Gives principals the ability to review teacher-course- student rosters and provide a percent-of-time weighting to each teacher-course and or teacher-course-student relationship. Gives teachers the ability to review and comment on their student course rosters as submitted to KSDE by the district via KIDS STCO records and include the percent-of- time weighting provided by the principal. Give teachers the ability to review the history on state assessments for their students. This will be only for the subject taught to the student by the teacher.
