Incepted in the year 1974 Karnataka Switchgears Pvt Ltd, we are the

pioneers in 11 kV Metering and Switching stations using load break

switches or Vacuum circuit breakers since 1990. With over 300 large

scale industry clientele, we have earned a name in service,

economy, innovative design and faster delivery of custom built

switch boards across India and overseas.

Today, we enjoy the Electricity Board approval, TAC approval and

our products have undergone numerous tests at Central Power

Research Institute. We enjoy the patronage of PSUs, MNCs, regular

contractors of various industry segments. With our wide range of

products and experience we have handled the most complex

industries, multistoried apartments, universities, manufacturing

plants, cluster villas, hospitals and institutions. We are committed to

Infrastructure

facilities and R&D Facilities which ensure

Our Products

POWER DISTRIBUTION BOARDS

The Power distribution boards are manufactured in various combination with ACB's, MCCB's, Switch Fuse units & MCB's. Some of these panels are working in prestigious organizations like BEL, HAL, Ashok Leyland, Shamanur Sugars etc., for more than 15 years. Some of these have been designed for double & triple sets of bus bars with changeover arrangements

Ÿ Maximum rating of panel executed - 4000 ampsŸ Maximum length of panel executed - 104 feetŸ Various combinations have been type tested at CPRI up to 50KA short circuit level.

LOAD BREAK SWITCHES

Load Break Switches with fuse trip can be used upto 950 KVA transformers. For transformers above 500 KVA or with on load tap changers we provide auxiliary relay with power pack and shunt trip mechanism. Load break switches can switch on or off higher loads and are designed only to operate with fuse. Maximum fuse available is upto 100 amps.

We also manufacture ring main units with load break switches, some of our panels have been installed in shopping complexes and large multistoried office complexes.

VACUUM CIRCUIT BREAKER

Vacuum Circuit Breaker Panels are recommended for applications above 1000 KVA of transformer, we are known to be pioneers with these panels for its durability and reliable operation to handle heavy loads. We supply V.C.B. Panels for Ÿ Coupling at station level Ÿ Ring main unitsŸ Feeder controlŸ Transformer control

METER BOARDS

Due to its regular monitoring and frequent usage, we design these boards with long lasting and easy to use monitoring meters with optional features to expand for future requirements.

These products are working satisfactorily in multistoried residential and commercial buildings of Prestige, Ranka, Shoba, Sun City and other group of builders apart from individual and smaller houses.

Our meter boards are equiped with automatic EB / DG change over arrangements or with automatic generator controls.

Maximum no of meters used in one panel - 250 No'sMaximum rating - 1250 Amps.

MV TARIFF METERING PANELS

MV Tariff Metering for 11KV application portion consists of meter, CT, PT as per the electricity supply companies(ESCOM) norms. Individual component are tested at ESCOM testing division and are assembled and tested at our shop floor before supplying.

We also supply Tariff metering panel for applications above 11 KV as per site requirements.

AUTOMATIC POWER FACTOR CONTROL

In an AC power system- it becomes necessary, to improve the power factor close to unity, to save copper losses and achieve better system stability. With the help of advanced switching logic design and relay mechanism we were able to reduce harmonics to a large extent providing clean ideal power.

Our APFC Panels are designed primarily to increase energy efficiency of sensitive loads and increase the operation of the plant. We have manufactured these panels up to 600 KVA rating.

INTEGRATED CONTROL CENTRES

Control centres have been custom built for remote monitoring and operation of industry. Normally these have been manufactured along with specific Motor control centres. Some of these have been provided with PLC's too.

These are used for multi-functions as shown in the picture. This particular product designed by us has become a synonym in ferro alloy industries, where these control centres control the main power, different motors, hydraulic operations, power transformer and the furnace with advanced mechanical and automatic interlocks.

MOTOR CONTROL CENTRES

The Motor control centres have been made in various combinations either as individual motor starters or in grouped controls or with PLC. controls. These are working satisfactorily in granite, steel, chemical, coffee & flour mill industries. Some of thes4e panels have been exported also. Our specialty has been in maintaining power factor above 0.95 at the motor control centre levels itself without APFC panels. Some of these have been exported and are working satisfactorily for nearly 10 years. Ÿ Maximum rating of motor starter used - 400 HP
