What surprises me most about todays generation, is how uninformedthey are about whats going on out there in the real world. Whatastonishes me even more is that so many people dont know the factsabout certain topics that, in some ways, pertain to them. For the past

five years Ive been involved with a movement to stop abortion in theU.S. Every year in October, Stand True, along with otherorganizations, holds a national day of solidarity as a protest againstabortion. Every year I get more and more students involved. This yearabout 26 Panther Valley students participated with me. It really istruly amazing to see kids of all ages stand up for something theybelieve in.One thing that disappointed me, as it usually does every year, is thatwhen I went around looking for Pro-life students, most of them didnteven know what the term Pro-life meant! And when I inform them thatit means to be against abortion they usually say, No Im not against

it. So heres my question to all of the pro-choice people, why? WhenI asked the students that answered no, they honestly did not have agood enough reason as to why an innocent childs life must be ended.To the younger generation who is not informed well enough, allow meto open your eyes to the facts and reality about causes that you dontknow enough about to even have a view on.First off, do you know that more than 1.5 million children aremurdered a year in the U.S. alone? Ahem, I mean, are aborted a year.Its the same thing really. But if you dont agree, keep readingbecause Im sure this article will change a lot of your views, or willat least make you think twice. Second, did you know that more children

have been killed than the amount of soldiers the U.S. has lost in thelast three centuries? Heck, more babies have been aborted than thenumber of Jews, soldiers, and civilians were lost during theHolocaust! More the 50 Million children have been torn from this earthsince 1973. But for some people that information isnt enough to makean impact on them. It amazes me that it doesnt bother people thatabortionists are ending the lives of the next great inventor, thefutures greatest president, the researcher who will find a cure forall the diseases that have killed your family members. But hey, if youstill support the pro-choice cause then at least you know somewhatwhat youre supporting.Really a lot of people dont know how doctors abort a baby. Well thereare four main ways that the operation is done. Heres a list of them:

1. Suction _ a powerful vacuum pressure sucks the unborn baby andplacenta from the womb.2. Dilation and Curettage/Evacuation _ a surgical instrument isintroduced into the womb and dismembers the unborn child.

3. Prostaglandin _ a drug-induced premature labor which expels theunborn child. Salt poisoning is also used in which the child is burnedalive in the mother's womb.4. Hysterectomy _ a mini-caesarian section operation which opens themother's uterus where the unborn child is either strangled or left to

die by neglect.What I wonder is how someone can be told exactly what happens to anunborn child, but their views still dont change. The fetuses aretortured and left to die, but you still dont think any differentlyabout the issue. I must say, I will never understand the ignorance ofpeople and the cruelty of society.

Of course there are always the views of the opposing side. The mostcommon argument I hear is, What if the girl was raped? Well incase you didntknow, less than1% of abortions are from rape victims. 0.3% to be exact. Even rape

victims value life too much to end someone elses. Whether you believein abortion or not is based on simple morals. From what I know andbelieve, a childs blood being spilt because of another personsmistake makes no sense. There is no moral or logical excuse as to whya child, who has never even witnessed sin, must pay for someone elsesmistake. Another common argument from the pro-choice side is; quote:What about incest? Well to right your crooked thoughts, incest isconsensual. So many people argue that rape isnt consensual and thatit is a call for an abortion when the girl becomes pregnant, ok then.But incest is consensual! So according to the pro-choice supporters,because its consensual, abortion doesnt seem like a good option.

Funny how some pro-choice people contradict themselves. But then againmost of them dont know half the facts on the subject. Oh, and a factabout incest related abortions: the percentage is only 0.03%. See?Most people dont mind being a mother and cousin to their child. Thethird most brought up argument as to why a woman should get anabortion is: If it endangers the mothers life. Well did you knowonly 0.2% of woman have an abortion to save themselves? A mothersduty is to protect her child, no matter the cost. Its their job. Evennature says so! If you dont believe that its not a natural thing, toprotect your child, go ask your own mothers. Because I guarantee thatyour mom would die for you in a heart beat. In the case of a mothersaving her own life by ending her childs, its just a matter of whatmorals the mother was brought up with.

A month or so ago, apro-choice girl at my lunch table told me that the fetus is not alive.Even though I knew her statement to be false, I needed research, coldhard facts, to prove that she was wrong. Actually, inthe fifth week of a pregnancy babys heart has already stated to formand function. An abortion can take place between the 4th and 24th

weeks of the pregnancy. When the 24th week occurs, the baby alreadyhas a forming and/or functioning heart, brain, set of lungs,circulatory system, muscles, bones, sex organs, hair, eyebrows, a fullbody, eyes (and eyelashes), skin, ears, and a face. It is alsobreathing, feeding, feeling, and its heart is beating. Last I checked,we are all doing those same things. Saying a child in the womb is notalive is like saying that we are not alive. To be alive, bydefinition, is: having life; living; existing; not dead or lifeless.Technically, scientifically, spiritually, and physically, the baby isabsolutely, 100% alive, thank you very much. Not that I am trying tobash pro-choice people, because quite a few are my friends, but to

take a side on such a strong topic, you should at least know at leasta little bit about it. If anyone opposes the contents of this opinionarticle, or finds it as a personal attack against their religion orbeliefs, I apologize since that was not my intent. The purpose of thisarticle was just to inform, not start some controversy. But if that ishow you saw it then thats fine because I already apologized. At leastnow you have some information on an issue that effects people our age.
