After the great success of our first Ladies Tour to India in 2008 we are so excited to be returning in 2009. With a few added extras this year, we believe we have fine tuned our tour to be one of the most evocative and memorable holiday’s ever. Sascha escorted the tour in May, and on the Ladies return this year I heard nothing but India – INCREDIBLE INDIA!! This will be my year to escort the group, do hope you can join me! This country is certainly not for the faint hearted. You will experience every emotion during the tour and see so many things that your mind just cant calculate at once. The people, the colour, the food, the traffic, the scenery, the smells….many people say it’s not until they return home that they put all the pieces together and can really comprehend their experience. Our journey will begin in Varanasi, “The Holy City”.Dusk and dawn boat rides will give us the chance to witness daily life on the Holy Ganges. A cyclo ride through this busling Ancient City will open our eyes to the mix of old and new, the rich and poor, the contrasts of India. We will then take a short flight to Khajuraho to witness the stunning temple art, one of India’s major attractions. Moving on to Agra the home of the exquisite Taj Mahal! This tomb will take your breath away, it is one of the most majestic sites in the world. Our tour will take us into the heart of Rajasthan. The Raijput Kingdom with its magnificent palaces, ancient forts and desert oasis. From Jaipur the “Pink City” to Jodhpur the “Blue City” and the magical Jaisalmer en-route. The colours and beauty of Rajasthan are unforgettable. The accommodation through-out the tour is First Class with many of the properties being palaces from the Maharaja’s era. Our tour of Rajasthan finishes in Udaipur at Shiv Niwas Palace. The city is centred around Lake Pichola and it is here we will have time for a cooking class or to relax and enjoy India’s Ayurveda herbal massage. This wonderful tour will leave you wanting more. India is as incredible as they say! Kay.
