The Tchefuncte River Boat Building School creates an open space for designing, teaching, and constructing ships. By using a large truss system, the design allows for an expansive green roof and large windows for cross ventilation and passive systems to work within the building.

The site of the Rome Art Community and Gallery combines Rome’s past and future by integrating contemporary design with the ruins which are preserved on the ground of the site. The design bridges the ruins and creates a series of layers that allows the public to move vertically and horizontally through the site and connects the Lungotevre to the bustling street of Via Giulia.

The Tanzakademie proposal combines the technical requirements of comprehensive studio with the delicacies of designing for a specific concept; the art of dance. The central open core of the building allows for dance to be seen and embraced throughout the entire building creating a balanced feeling of heavy and light.

Pneuforms was an Architect week (A-week ) project that allowed students to work with a visiting architect and explore a specific type of interactive installation. With the guidance of Ron Rael we explored and designed two inflatable forms that were occupiable, mobile, and inexpensive using only plastic, tape, and air.

Team Leader: Ron Rael of Rael San Fratello Team Members: John Coyle, Meredith Zelenka, Drew Hauck, Shira Latch, Kyle Ryan, Logan Leggett, Niki Esser, Alia Soomro, Robbie Mosby, Kath-erine Allen.
