Swimmersinthewatercanbehitbythepropeller.
Rememberthatitisgrossly negligent – and prohibited – for passengers to sit on the bow, gunwales, stern or swim platform whiletheboatismoving.Theycaneasilyslipintothewaterandbehitbythepropeller.Werecommendthatnopassengersitonthebow,gunwales,sternorswimplatformwhenthemotorison.(Add details for specific type of boat; for example, particular danger of sitting on the front of a pontoon boat and slipping between the pontoons.)

Neverallowanyonetoholdontotheswimplatformforaride(“teaksurfing”or“platformdragging”).
SymptomsofCOpoisoningincludeirritatedeyes,headache,nausea,weaknessanddizziness.Thesesymptomsareoftenconfusedwithseasickness,intoxicationorhangovers;somakesuretoseekmedicalattentionunlessyouaresureCOisnotthecause.
