on The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

The birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated in a

befitting manner at Kendriya Vidyalaya Khammam, (Hyderabad

Region) on 31st Oct 2015. As per the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

(HQ) letter No.. 11029/16/2014-KVS (HQ)/Acad. dated 28th

October,

2015 the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated as

Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day). The following activities

were conducted on this occasion:

1. The portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was garlanded. The I/C

Principal and all the teachers offered floral tributes to the great

leader.

2. The pledge of unity was administered to all the students and

teachers in the morning assembly.

3. The students of classes VIII to X presented Unity Song (हम सब

भारतीय है).

4. The Students were enlightened with the life and ideas of the Iron

Man. Mr. Hanawant Singh, TGT (Hindi) and two students from the

secondary section presented their speeches and highlighted the

noble actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

5. An inter house Quiz was conducted. The quiz was based on the

biography of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

6. The students of class IX & X presented a group dance (हमन ेवादे

किये इस वतन िे लिए .....) depicting the cultural diversity of our great

nation. The song also highlighted the concept of unity in diversity.

7. Mr. M. Rama Krishnam Raju, I/C Principal of this Vidyalaya

delivered a speech on this occasion. He highlighted the importance

of unity and nationalism among the students and teachers. He

emphasized on the works and contribution of the Iron Man Sardar

Vallabhbhai Patel.

8. The Students took part in unity run in the Vidyalaya premises

under the proper guidance of the I/C Principal and teachers.

9. Poster Making Competition was organized in the library and the

posters maid by Miss. K. Chandrika, Miss. T. Sai Srinija and Miss.

M. Alekya were selected.

10. An exhibition on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s biography was

conducted in library. Newsclippings & Articles were displayed.

11. Mass participation of students was insured in the programme.

12. Thus the day was celebrated in a befitting manner with the

proper guidance of M. Rama Krishnam Raju, I/C Principal of the

Vidyalaya.
