Today there are many good schools with state of art facilities in India giving important many aspects of learning. There are even great school libraries seen within the schools as one of the important centres. It is School Libraries which act as a nascent centers for elementary resources useful for budding learners making them open up to the new world of understanding and learning. The school library provides a model for quest for learning and building knowledge and confidence in seeking and processing information.

The function of libraries has changed dramatically since the global change in ICT from storing of books to learning and disseminating knowledge. The role of Library and Information Centers in the present era is ever changing and the traditional services have taken a new shape in the light of developments in technologies. Now Libraries are facilitating their users with 24 x 7 access using Internet and digital media and technology.
