Personal Statement Although I had the opportunity to experience the blessings of a Christian home early in my life, and acquaintance with Christian education, I did not come to know of God’s love and the salvation available to me through Jesus Christ until much later in life. I accepted Him as my Savior and Lord at the age of twenty-two during my time in the United States Marine Corps. Since this experience more than 19 years ago, I have committed my life and creative skills and talents which He has given me, to vocational and ministerial service throughout the church. I have sought to prepare myself for such service through my college education, formal training, youth ministry and life experiences. Through pastoral ministry and a commitment to servant leadership, I strive to proclaim the Good News of God’s love and The Three Angels Message of His Church, while helping others encounter Him in praise, worship, and service to nurture their spiritual development and ministry involvement.

EXPERIENCESenior Pastor, Casalita Drive SDA Church, Garland, Texas, May 2013 - present

Works closely with the Church Board in formulating vision and strategy based on God’s leading for Casalita Drive SDA Church. It is my primary responsibility as the Senior Pastor to manage the Church and overseeing, directing and supporting the church ministries to accomplish the vision set for them. Primary management and oversight duties over the Outreach, In-reach, stewardship and discipleship of all membership. We have reduced the debt of the church and created a surplus. Developed an Adventist Education student fund and culture among church community.

Communications Director, Southwest Region Conference, Dallas, Texas, September 2012 - present Responsible for digital media content creation for web, mobile, and social media networks for SWRC. Creation of news media packages for conference events. Training of local church communication leaders in areas of social media, video editing, photography, videography, and graphic designing. Oversee the implementation of ministries from 0-29 years of age. Creation of first youth church for Southwest Region Conference with functioning officers. The directing of a Kids in Discipleship program for children 6-12 that will give them the tools to witness and grow in there spiritual journey. Assistant / Youth Pastor, Ephesus SDA Church, Columbus, Ohio, June 2006 - July 2008 Assisted senior pastor in worship planning, hospital visitation, and nursing home ministry. Led out in ministry for young people. Established a ministry for single adults and trained Sabbath School and Discipleship Training leaders. Preached in the absence of the senior pastor. Conducted funerals and communion services along with other special church programs. Conducted weekly prayer meeting for the youth and evangelistic activities, which included the constituent elementary school and surrounding churches. Conducted a youth mission trip to New Orleans that allowed the youth of our church to conduct an evangelistic meeting which ripped youth for baptism.

Dean of Men, Mount Vernon Academy, Mount Vernon, Ohio, June 2004 - June 2006 Hired, trained and supervised professional, administrative and support staff. Ensured the residential hall environment would be reasonably safe, secure, clean and in good condition. Promote and enhanced the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional growth of students. Served as a liaison staff, providing training and supervision for Residential Assistants (RAs). Pastoral Staff Chaplain, Med Central Center, Mansfield, Ohio, Aug 2005 - June 2006 Made contact and visited inmates at the Richland County Correctional Facility. Served as clergy contact for all Seventh-day Adventist patients at Med Central Medical Center. Provided pastoral counseling and referral service for current and recently released patients/inmates.

Pastoral Staff Chaplain, University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI, Aug 2002 - June 2004 Served as a volunteer chaplain for the Medical Center and provided pastoral care and counseling to all Protestant faith staff members, patients and their families through prayer, home visits and follow-up assistance.
