2P NewsOn Friday 18 May, 2P along with 2M and 2B visited theRandwick Sustainability Hub as part of our science unit aboutwater.

The students had a wonderful time and learnt many new andinteresting things as they explored water using their senses. They learnt about the importance of water in their lives andhow they can save water at home. Below are some photos andsome short reflections from 2P of the activities students tookpart in.

We had a lot of fun on our excursion. We had three lessonsabout water. We learnt about water wasting and water saving. We looked at how rain gets into our water tanks and how theclean water is separated from the dirty water. Zahra

On our excursion we were split into three groups. In our firstlesson we learnt about water tanks. In our second lesson welearnt about the difference between water wasting and watersaving. Then we learnt about the sound that water makes. Finally, we acted out the water cycle. I really enjoyed it! John

The water excursion was at the Randwick Sustainability Hub. Ienjoyed it when we made a play about Drippy the rain drop andhis friends going around the water cycle. I also learnt about howa rain water tank works. There is a filter that gets out the big bitsof dirt and then all the dirty water goes into a pipe which makesa ball float up. When it gets to the top the clean water goes intothe tank. Chloe
