Read for the RecordAges 2 - 12Thursday, October 3, 9 am-8 pmIn an effort to raise awareness of the early literacy crisis and the importance of early education, stop in on Thursday, October 3 to “Read for the Record.” Jumpstart’s world record breaking campaign is an annual event which attempts to bring children and adults together to read the same book, on the same day, in homes and communities all over the world. Last year nearly 2.3 million people worldwide participated. Join us this year as we read “Otis” by local author, Loren Long. Every hour, on the hour, a children’s librarian will be reading the story aloud. Children will then be invited to participate in a

related craft activity. Children who listen to the story will be entered into a raffle drawing.
