Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases of the Placement Projects, while helping to define the vision, definition and strategy for the development team by driving project initiatives that deliver on the Placement Service's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Placement Service functional heads to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines;

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT, KUCCPS 8 (Ref. Code KUCCPS 012/16) - 1 POSITION

Reporting to the Accountant, the officer will provide support to the finance team through the timely and accurate processing of financial and accounting data.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Raise payment vouchers and cheques for payments. 2. Assist in the administration of the petty cash float and ensure timely reimbursement of the

same. 3. Assist in the maintenance of the institutions assets register 4. Assist in the maintenance of financial data bases; 5. Accurate and appropriate recording of revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities; 6. Input payroll transactions and ensuring they have been properly authorized on the correct

documents before posting to the payroll. 7. Post payroll transactions correctly using assigned budget codes and ensure preauthorized

documents from HR have been provided. 8. Assist in ensuring that all statutory deductions are effected and returns submitted to the

1. Support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance as required by the Placement Service and other dependent business systems;

2. Design, develop and administer the Placement Service databases and database packages and procedures;

3. Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of the Placement Service databases. 4. Review and tune SQL or database logic code or scripts; 5. Ensure security and access control; 6. Provide technical support to ICT development team in the design, development, testing,

tuning and implementation of their various database applications and or projects; 7. Create and maintain SQL queries and routines; 8. Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments;

Also, provide technical support on networks and ensure the continuous provision of ICT services at all times

1. Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports. Review and repair legacy code; 2. Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from

professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies;

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, KUCCPS 9/10 (Ref. Code KUCCPS 017/16) – 1 POSITIONS

Provide overall and effective coordination and administrative support to the department. This includes: secretarial, security, departmental procurement, travel arrangements and events coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage good office environment and ensure maintenance and security of all items entrusted with and establish and maintain stock management and control system;

2. Schedule and coordinate meetings and arrange and participate in meetings, conferences and placement/career talks and other activities;

3. Identify issues and provide advice regarding policies and standard practices; 4. Prepare and periodic reports on departmental assets, procurement trends, projections and

challenges; 5. Working in liaison with the procurement section in the Placement Service, oversee efficient,

value for money, well-coordinated and timely procurement to the department through periodic procurement planning and maintenance of a procurement database ;

6. Facilitate the approval of travel and expense claims and requisitions; 7. Liaise with relevant finance personnel to follow up on raised expense claims

reimbursements; 8. Manage and follow up on departmental staff leave applications and maintain leave calendar;

and 9. Supervise support staff.

Minimum Requirement

2. A Diploma in Office Administration or Secretarial Studies or equivalent; 3. Computer literate; proficiency in email and Microsoft Applications; 4. Strong in office management and administration; 5. Good planning and organisational ability; 6. Consultative approach with the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise; 7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; 8. Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
