Lyreco accepts in full its responsibilities as an employer to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees and other persons who may be affected by their activities. The Company is committed to continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance with the main objective being to prevent the occurrence of accidents that may lead to loss or injury.

The Managing Director and the Senior Management Team have the overall responsibility to implement the policy in the business. Health and Safety objectives are set at the same level as any other business objectives. The Company’s policy is to maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare for all its employees complying with all applicable legislation. This is promoted in so far as is reasonably practicable by:

• Allocating clear health and safety responsibilities at all levels of the organization and providing adequate resources in order to develop the health and safety policy to achieve the company H&S objectives.

• Undertaking systematic examination of the workplace and all work activities to identify any potential hazards and enable an assessment of the risk and the implementation of any control measures necessary to reduce or prevent that risk.

• Providing and maintaining equipment, facilities and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health and providing any arrangements required to ensure the welfare of employees.

• Consult with employees by using effective communication channels, on matters which may affect their health and safety.

• Ensuring competence of all employees (and non-employees, as appropriate) and the provision of relevant information, instruction, training and supervision to work safely and efficiently to enable them to take individual responsibility for health and safety matters.

• Establishing effective communication procedures between company employees and non employees (when they are on site) to ensure everybody’s safety.

• This policy will be regularly reviewed and amended accordingly to ensure that is continuously relevant to our business activities.

Environmental PolicyLyreco is a supplier of general office products, business machines and furniture to a diverse customer base across the UK and Ireland. We have two National Distribution Centres, one in Telford, Shropshire and the other in Dublin, Ireland. We ship goods daily to our Regional Distribution Centres across the UK and Ireland. We operate a large sales force and distribution network, plus a Head Office in Telford. The scope of our environmental management system covers:

“�The� sale� and� distribution� of� stationery,� consumables,� office� machinery� and furniture”

The volume environmental impacts of our business are use of resources such as packaging, consumption of fuel for our fleet of vehicles, consumption of energy at our sites and the creation of wastes. Our aim is to manage and reduce the potentially harmful effects of these and other identified environmental impacts through setting of objectives and targets, which will be supported by improvement programmes and reviewed regularly, at minimum annually.

Our policy commits us to carrying out our core business in as sustainable manner as practicable, taking cost into account, in line with our Corporate Responsibility Strategy. This includes a commitment to: • Prevention of pollution • Continual improvement • Compliance with legislation

Lyreco seeks to ensure clear communication throughout our organisation and as such we will communicate our policy through appropriate channels to employees and individuals working on behalf of Lyreco. To ensure achievement of our objectives, we will help employees implement the policy in their day-to-day work, through communication of the objectives, targets and improvement programmes along with related activities which help to raise environmental awareness. Lyreco will work on behalf of customers with suppliers to ensure a range of products are available each year that carry environmental credentials. In order to push our supplier base to continually improve, we will include sustainability in our purchasing and tendering decisions.
