ACC ATHLETICS SQUAD PUBLISHED (Final Squad announced Friday 11th September Week 8)
Following the Inter-House Athletics Carnivals, our ‘Provisional’ ACC Athletics Squad was names and announced within School. All parents of respective students were notified via e-mail and the recent attendance at training has been excellent. ACC Athletics training continues until Week 8 and is aimed towards: Final Selection process for the ACC Carnival To develop a good Squad Spirit allowing the demonstration of our ACC Squad values of ‘Dedication, Hardwork &
Ambition’ Provides opportunity for specialised event training To familiarise student athletes for the correct rules and procedures for the ACC Carnival
There is no training this Thursday due to the Schools Knockout Athletics meet which a number of students are involved in.
All selected students are asked and expected to attend training once per week (preferably twice) in preparation for the School’s ACC ‘A’ Division Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 16th September. Students who are ‘contenders/reserves’ can still get into an event if they beat a time or distance achieved at the Carnival as a result of training or the Schools Knock Out Competition. All named students travel with the Squad, including reserves due to the potential of unforeseen injury and illness and personal circumstances. The ‘Final’ ACC Athletics Squad will be published on Friday 11th September in Week 8.
All information including event times, divisions, students involved in the ‘Provisional ACC Athletics Squad’ including the
training schedule and information booklet given to selected students will be e-mailed directly to parents. Students who
participate in ACC Athletics are eligible for either Sports Colours or Honours.
SSWA CHAMPION SCHOOLS KNOCK OUT SOCCER RESULTS
The Junior Girls Soccer Team played well against Mercy ‘B’ in the last eight Schools in the Compe-tition. They narrowly lost 2 -1; my thanks to Mr. Borrello for another successful coaching cam-paign this year! Well done girls.
STUDENT SPORTING SUCCESS
Recently, Tyler Pedley has achieved selection to the State U13 Hockey Team, whilst Preston Jones recently travelled to Ade-
laide as part of the WA State Karate Team to attend the 2015 National Karate Championships. Well done to both students
who have demonstrated great dedication to their respective sports whilst also balancing their School work successfully!

NEW FITTED PERFORMANCE SPORTS SHORTS AVAILABLE
The new Peter Moyes ACS fitted performance sports shorts are now available for purchase from the Uniform Shop. The shorts are designed around a performance ‘SKINS’ based garment and are very reasonably priced.
All ACC Athletics students who compete in Sprints, Long Jump or High Jump are encouraged to purchase them for the ACC ‘A’ Division Carnival where the rules for School Team colours to be worn are very strict.
The new fitted shorts can also be used for the following:
ACC Cross Country & ACC Athletics Carnivals. All Inter-House Sporting Carnivals. Although they are not chlorine resistant for Swimming as we have separate Peter Moyes Swimming Bathers for
Inter-School purposes. As an undergarment to the current Physical Education shorts worn by all CAS Teams. As an undergarment to the CAS Netball dresses. Optional item for Physical Education classes.
Abbigael Fulcher has also qualified the State U15 Touch Rugby Team for the second consecutive year and will travel to
the Pacific Games later this year. A number of girls have been highly successful in Netball in the West Coast Region of
Joondalup and Wanneroo including Georgia Morgan, Alexandra Morgan, Ella-Tudor Roberts, Delaney Smith, Cassidy
Smith, Olivia Fowler, Olivia Bell, Tess Hopes, Ella Yates and Ellie Walters! Caitlin Chase has also been talent identification
selected as a Junior Netball Umpire for the State U12 Indoor Team which will travel to Sydney later this year.
Well done to all!
