We have consolidated KEYENCE’s original optical

design with decoding technology. It has been equipped

with advanced reading capabilities that not only support

difficult-to–read codes but flexibly support codes whose

reading conditions change.

The Hi-DR function suppresses luster to improve code contrast

Difficult-to-read workpiece due to

The easiest way to improve code reading capability is to improve

code clarity. The SR-650 combines the proper balance of lighting and

processing to improve code clarity on all surface types.

After being clearly recognized, the code is decoded through KEYENCE’s original image filters. This provides stable reading by

reducing poor printing and noise factors.

automatically alternates between registered banks and performs reading using conditions that match the code.

EASY TO USE ADVANCED FEATURES

An ultrahigh-intensity LED was adopted to illuminate codes that move at high

speeds. This displays the code clearly to enable high-speed, high-sensitivity

imaging. Furthermore, the built-in high-speed digital signal processing (DSP) has

greatly increased the speed of decoding as well.

Speedy image capture performance <Max.160 m 524.93'/min*>

Burst Read mode acquires up to 8 consecutive images as

a part quickly passes through the SR-650’s field of view.

The decoding process is not performed until all images

have been captured. Conventional readers decode each

image after it is captured, preventing additional imaging

until the decode process is complete. The Burst Read mode

allows for higher speed code detection as decoding is not

performed until multiple images have been captured.

and manhours that until now had to be spent for setup.
