Calming the Chaotic CalendarBecky Danielson"We are TOO busy!" Does your family calendar seem over-scheduled? Learn to use the family calendar as a tool, rather than a source of stress. Make a plan to be intentional with the family agenda. Determine how much is enough, even with good choices. Learn strategies for taming the schedule, carving out quiet time, and corralling the clutter of too many activities. Take the time to answer Jesus’ call, “Come all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28. If you're pushed for time and always feeling rushed, this session is for you!

Cook Once - Eat All WeekBeth BergrenPlanning and preparing meals in advance allows you to save money and spend less time in the kitchen. You will be amazed at what you can freeze now and serve later. Topics include menu planning, grocery shopping tips, freezer meal prep, packaging meals and proper storage. Hands-on workshop with demonstration, resources and guidance to help you meet the challenge of mealtime madness.

Come . . . Grow . . . and Go Light Your WorldKathy SchwankeWhen we accept the invitation from Jesus to “Come” for salvation, we leave our old life behind and follow him. Each of us has a unique role in our eternal Family mission, which is fleshed out in our private prayer closets, and in our Family gatherings through worship, fellowship, and prayer. We are empowered and equipped by the Holy Spirit to “Go and make disciples” with promised rewards in eternity for our faithful acts.In this workshop we will look at the journey of growth and the responsibility we have as God’s children to listen for, trust, and obey His voice. Kathy will encourage you in your role by sharing how the Lord patiently enabled her to overcome her timidity and be active in sharing her faith in her church, community, and online.

Come As You AreKatie Friesen SmithDoes our personality influence how we COME to Christ? Does the stage of life we are in impact how we COME to Christ? Our individual uniqueness means we all experience God’s presence and learn to relate to God in different ways. Additionally, each stage of life offers opportunities and challenges that are different from other stages. Often in our churches we give people a “one-size-fits-all” approach to spiritual growth . . . this “one-size-fits-all” approach does not take into account our personalities nor our stages in life. Consider how God created you . . . consider your stage of life . . . what if God wants to use your uniqueness and your life stage as a resource to know Him more? In this workshop, we will explore how to COME to Christ in a way that embraces your uniqueness and honors your life stage. Discussion and reflection on spiritual habits that help us on the journey will be included.

The Tsunami of the Entitlement MentalityMelissa MorkThis workshop proposes to explore the Entitlement generation. What has caused this sense of entitlement, how is it maintained, and when does it manifest itself the most? Is there a way to address the issues related to an "I am special and important" personal worldview? Discussions regarding ways to reroute and retrain thinking will be included.

Coming to JesusRandy Nelson Jesus invited everyone to come to Him, but what does this mean? Is it an invitation to salvation? Is it an invitation to peace? Please join us as we consider Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28-30 and other gospel passages.

Aah, To Live Victoriously In Christ!Satise RoddyOur living victoriously depends on what we permit Christ to do in and through us. It is not for us to discover an abundance of good things we can do in order to live victoriously. Ours is to decide to rest (trust, have a spiritual calm) in the tender care of Christ. We must die to self and to allow Christ to live in us. Aren’t you thankful to God who gives us victory? His original intent was for us to live a victorious life. He is so gracious to provide us with everything we need in order to live victoriously. Hallelujah!

By GraceTamara Hartzler-O'DellThe Lord has asked us to walk by faith. When we walk by sight we focus on all of life’s trials, and we turn away from a God-directed path. We choose this path, because at the time it seems easy, but we quickly learn that it's the wrong choice. When we walk by faith, we allow God to choose the way and trust Him with whatever happens. Both ways, the world’s and God’s, are full of difficulty, but God gives us strength and grace to endure what happens.

It’s Just Another Ho-Hum Day in ParadiseMonica Groves Is it advantageous, or even possible, to simultaneously “downplay” and “uplift” at the same time? It is an intriguing mix, for sure! Even more intriguing is how both efforts (to downplay and uplift) occur in our ordinary, everyday lives and, particularly, in our daily life with God. The purpose and value of the everyday, the ordinary, the routine, and the “not spectacular” events are (Surprise!) actually essential in establishing a deeper intimacy with God and meaningful lives with others. This workshop is designed for women who desire to walk meaningfully with God in the “stuff” of everyday and experience delight in His presence.

DivorceCareCheryl GlassHave you, or someone close to you, experienced a divorce, or are you currently going through a divorce or separation? If so, this workshop may be for you. Many people will tell you that separation or divorce is one of the most painful and stressful situations they have ever faced. It can be a time when you feel confused, isolated, and wonder where you fit. We will be touching on some of the subjects covered in a 13 week course called DivorceCare including facing your loneliness, forgiveness, and how long to wait before dating again. My prayer is that you will walk away with renewed hope for your future and an understanding of God’s amazing love and faithfulness.

“Then Sings My Soul”: Worship Through Hymns. Tammie JunkansDo you love hymns? Let’s spend an hour in worship by singing hymns together. We’ll be inspired by stories of hymns, and participants will be able to suggest hymns for the group to sing. “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation!” (Psalm 95:1-2).

Another New Song to Sing: Finding God’s Mercy & GraceStacey ThureenAs we focus on Matthew 11:28-29, bringing all of our burdens to Jesus so that we may rest, I will share a testimony of how God walked me through a challenging season. The season included a major cross-country move and another growth was detected on my thyroid. His mercy and grace allowed for me to, as the Psalmist writes, sing again. The result? He increased my faith! He taught me how to remain in Him, find rest in His word, right in the middle of the crazy demands of a major move and a chronic health condition.

Your Sacred Yes: Trade Draining Obligation for Jesus’ Invitation

Are you worn out from the rat race? Jesus invites you to come and rest, to live a fruitful, abundant life, and to see your battles turn into blessings that serve others and strengthen you. So what needs to change for us to move from a busyness that drains us to an abundance that trains us? Join us as Susie unpacks the power and ripple effect of the abiding life. Susie says that our limits are actually a gift to us, reminders of how very much we need Jesus. And it’s within those limits that God is able to do the impossible in and through us. Come for a time of inspiration and declaration: We have nothing to prove and all of eternity to live for.

Distinctly You: Trading Comparison and Competition for Freedom & Fulfillment

All of creation is content to be what it was made to be, except us. Fish flourish in water. Ants are not worried about their size. We are guilty of wasting time on the three C’s: comparing, competing, and coveting. We aim at the bull’s-eye on someone else’s board, pursuing a race we weren’t equipped to run. This workshop will encourage you to concentrate on being who God created you to be rather than trying to measure up to others. Cheryl will show you how to develop your God-given uniqueness. She will unveil actions and attitudes that may be sabotaging you and explore ways you can engage and build up your unique talents, interests, and God-given strengths. Cheryl will also share candidly from her ongoing quest to be distinct for God’s glory.
