You need to know who is the owner of the image, and ask them about using it.

Depending on  your plans, and the professionalism of the image owner, you might just be able to use the image, no big deal.

Another thing that might be important to think about is that you have exclusive rights to that photo. 

You don't want to have it featured in your project and then see it being used by someone else.

Generally you pay more to obtain the copyright or at least exclusivity on an image.
