DESCRIPTION

Alternate Ki Mechanics for the DBZ/Bleach D20 system

TRANSCRIPT

MechanicsChoose one Physical Stat and one Mental Stat (hereafter referred to as your Ki Stats). Your Ki Pool is determined by adding your 2 Ki Stats together, doubling it, then adding 15 per level and 15 per Ki Feat to the result. ((KS1+KS2)*2+(Level + Ki Feats)*15)Spending KiWhen spending Ki for the purposes of "spending reiatsu", every 1 Ki counts for 2 Reiatsu. This is also the same when determing a passive value for prerequisites and other effects.Ki RecoveryAt the start of each of your turns, you recover Ki equal to your natural Ki Recovery rate. Your Ki Recovery rate is equal to the combined modifiers of your Ki Stats. You can not go above your maximum Ki Pool when recovering Ki. If you are fatigued or exhausted due to your Ki dropping to 1/2 or 1/4, your Ki Recovery can not bring you above the 1/2 or 1/4 values without having a sufficient resting period. As a full round action, once per encounter, you may recover Ki equal to your Ki Recovery rate times 5. This still can not bring you above 1/2 or 1/4.Feat ChangesSpecial Attacks: Special Attacks are built using the Fullbringer attack table. You have points to spend equal to the value of your two Ki Stats added together. When using special attacks, Ki is spent at a rate of 1 Ki for 1 Point.Power Up: You can now spend a full round action to recover ki an infinite amount of times in combat. This still can not bring you above 1/2 or 1/4.Realized Potential: When determining the value of your Ki Pool, the multiplier is increased to x3. (Increase the multiplier to x4 when you would increasse the reiatsu multiplier to 75).Improved Reiatsu Capacity: Your Ki Pool increases by 40.Body Over Soul: You may change your mental Ki Stat to a physical Ki Stat.Ki Conservation: The cost of Ki Abilities is lowered by 5 (Min 1). This may be taken up to 5 additional times. Each time it is taken reduce the cost by a further 2 (Min 1).Generator Android: You have a Ki Pool equal to your 2 Ki Stats doubled. Level and Ki Feats do not increase your Ki Pool. Your natural Ki Recovery rate is equal to your 2 Ki Stats doubled. You can not use an action to recover ki. Your recovery can take you out of being fatigued or exhausted from Ki loss. If your Ki pool gets increased, your Recovery Rate does not increase.Absorber Android: As normal except your Absorption rate is equal to your 2 Ki Stats. Your Ki Pool has a minimum of 1 point. You can spend it as per normal but it does not go away (Note: You can not spend it multiple times on the same action.)Increased Capacity: Your maximum pool increases by 15 Ki.New FeatsQuick Charge (Ki): As a move action, you can recover Ki equal to your Ki Recovery rate.Ultimate Attack (Ki): Build a special attack as per normal but with the following exceptions, You spend points equal to double your Ki Stats, it is used as a full round action (standard action with the speed property), and the Ki cost is equal to double the points spent.Increased Recovery (Ki): Your natural Recovery Rate increases by 2.Increased Absorption: Absorber Only, Your Absorption rate increases by 5.Increased Reserves: Absorber Only, Your minimum Ki value increases by 1.Other ChangesSpellscore: When a feat or ability refers to spellscore, you count as having a spellscore equal to the average of your 2 Ki Stats.Special Attacks: The speed property changes your special attack to an attack action.By default all special attacks require 2 hands.3/5 Points: Your Special Attack uses one hand/ uses mouth or eyes. For ranged attacks, you choose either Ball or Beam.Beam: A Beam occupies whatever body part it was shot from while in use and during beam clashes. Also, if an object (Or person) of sufficient size crosses the beam, the beam stops and deals its damage to the object.Ball: Once a ball is fired, you can choose for it to no longer occupy the body part it was shot from. If you wish to do a beam clash with a ball type attack, you must keep the body part occupied and ki spent into the beam clash is only worth half the amount.Soul Crushing: A Ki User can not soul crush. A soul crush check can still be made for the purposes of other feats (I.E. Reiatsu Flash)Note: Your Ki Pool is seperate to your Reiatsu and a character can have both.
