Useful hints and tips1. This product has quickly-heat up function, steaming time is shorter than

usual food steamer please refer to the below recommended food steaming

chart for details.

2. Time may vary depends on the size of food pieces, spacing of the food in

steaming tray, freshness of food and personal preference.

3. Single layer of food steams faster than several layers. Therefore, cooking

time for larger quantity of food will be increased.

4. For best results, be sure pieces of food are similar in size, if pieces vary in

size and layering is required, place smaller pieces on top.

5. Never steam meat poultry or food with longest cooking time should be

steamed in lower steaming tray.

6. Always bigger pieces or food with longest cooking time should be steamed

in lower steaming tray.

7. If cooking meat or poultry and vegetables. Always put meat or poultry on

lower steaming tray so that the juices and fats from raw or partially cooked

meat can not drip down on other foods.

8. When steaming large quantities of food, remove steaming tray with lid

about halfway through the steaming time and stir using a long handle

utensil.

Care and cleaning1. Bowls, lid and drip tray

Immerse bowls, lid and drip tray into hot sudsy water. Rinse thoroughly. Dry

all parts.

It is suggested to use little brush or contton stick to clean bottom edge of

pads or abrasive cleaners to clean any parts of the steamer.Rinse with

clean, hot water to remove traces of detergent.

It is suggested to use little brush or cotton stick to clean water channel

around the heating plate.

3. Heater Element After a period of use, the heater surface may be discolored from residues.

Severe staining should be treated with heating vinegar in water reservoir.

Do not use household bleach. When cleaning, following this procedure.

Follow clean method below:

a. Do not cover reservoir with any steamer parts while cleaning.

b. Pour vinegar(1quart) into reservoir to ”Hi” fill line. Do not cover base

with any steamer parts.

c. Plug into electrical outlet and turn timer ON for approximately 20

Steaming GuideWhile the majority of foods cook in much less than 60 minutes, longer cooking

time may require adding water to reservoir. Remember to reset the timer. Also,

when using the “Lo” fill line and if the unit shuts off just short of your desired

doneness, just add_cup water and reset the timer. Watch food to avoid

overcooking.

When a foil cover is used

over the rice bowlSome foods that are steamed in the rice bowl need an aluminum foil cover. To

cover rice bowl, use about a “7” width of foil. Extend width of foil beyond

opposite side of bowl; leave a little space between foil and edge of bowl.

Heating-Breads/LeftoversFor leftovers, reheating times are based on foods at refrigerator temperatures.

When reheating leftover in the rice bowl, always arrange/spread leftovers

evenly in rice bowl and be sure to use a foil cover.
