StorytellingIf your child has a literary streak, another idea is for your child create her own storybook.

Step 2 - Have her tell a story, while simultaneously writing it down on the paper.

Step 1 - Place markers or crayons, lined notebook paper, two sheets of heavy construction paper, pencils and brass fasteners (brads) into your bag.

Step 3 - Next she can draw a picture about the story on the construction paper. Use the brads to hold the papers together and place the construction paper on the outside. Viola! Your child’s very own storybook!

Mix & MatchSometimes when it’s dark and stormy outside, children’s activities should include a variety of things that can keep them occupied for long periods of time.
