Types of Diabetes

Type 1 (T1D)

T1D is diagnosed when the pancreas

stops making insulin completely.

Develops in a child of any age, including

infants and toddlers

Type 2 (T2D)

T2D is diagnosed when the body does not produce enough insulin to function properly, or the

body’s cells become resistant to insulin.
