Trailer

Summary of the trailerVery high paced Trailer A lot of action You see the Bride (Uma Thurman), O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox)Even more fightingSee a lot of about the brides revenge trip and this is only part one.

Film aspectsThis film is so full of different ways of filming and showing story. Ranging from big to very tiny, deliberate details that this film could be used as a basis to look at 100 different filming techniquesStarting of easy Tarantino managed to insert a long running shot, 2 minutes long toward the end of the movie which may not seem like ,much but with such a hectic set is very impressive to pull off. There is also the use of black and white scenes in this movie sometimes to emphasize the dramatic aspect others just showing to be serious

More Film aspects

The use of cartoon as well to depict a backstory is clever because it allows the director to show a more brutal backstory that is quite tragic without involving a child actor to get the point across and the sudden change from live action to this form of cartoon draws in attention. Then during the last part of the movie there is a giant fight scene paying homage to kung fu movies and Japanese yakuza movies then during the fight scene it switches from normal filming to this silhouettes on a blue/purple background this makes a for a dynamic change of event. This change differs from the rest of the fight because there is no blood and overall a bit more tame.

StarsUma Thurman stars in kill bill vol 1+2 also stared in pulp fiction. Those were her biggest films sadly.

Lucy Liu is also not thats massive of an actress but she has voice acting in kung fu panda, acted in Charlie's angels man with the iron fists and Shanghai noon

Overall the film has a lot of smaller actors but still better than a lot ridiculously overblown actorsDirectorQuentin TarantinoHe has made at the moment 7 films with an 8th on the way though he has been credited for more than eight1- Reservoir Dogs2- Pulp Fiction3- Jackie Brown4- Kill Bill (1 and 2)5- Grindhouse (and Death proof)6- Inglorious Bastards7- Django Unchained8- The Hateful Eight (post production)2 Oscars for best writing one in Django Unchained and one for Pulp Fiction.

Why I like the filmThe action is fantasticIt was very funny as well with some repeats and other scenes paying homage to seventies action filmsThe actors are all amazingThe director does not hold back with the story it is very forward, very brutal and with a predominantly female cast very different from the mostly male dominated action film genreIn fact this film couldnt just be considered one genre as it does so much in quite a brief time.
