As you can see grades become worse as videogame usage grows higher
The information for this graph was obtained from a survey of my sisters students at a school which will not be named
The playing of videogames can start at a very young age in our societySometimes parents aren’t aware of the effects of certain types of media on their children
Sometimes parents use videogames to keep the kids entertained so they can get things done
It’s not uncommon to see multiple gaming consoles in any given residence
Also, it’s not uncommon to see more than one child playing gamesSimultaneously on separate televisions in the same household
Videogaming often continues into adulthood or can even start in adulthood
The effects of videogaming in adulthood can be even more drastic
Grown people lose their jobs because of their addiction to videogames
Grown people lose the respect of their families because of their addiction to videogames
Grown people lose respect for themselves because of their addiction to videogames
Videogames are just one more thing to add to the list of things that give us our fix so to speak
Like any drug our minds and bodies react to the content being ingested, creating a chemical response
Our response could be positive or negative
On occasion Videogames have been linked to causing violent behavior in those who play them
This violence could be during or following the gaming session or sessionsAnd is not necessarily because of violent games themselves but rather
due to frustration caused by the gaming session
Aggression could come over competition to play the game in the first place
This picture kind of says it all.Obviously since videogames were invented there hasn’t been a spike in cold blooded murders. However, individuals have been
killed over or because of videogames.
So here it is
We’re born
We grow up playing videogames
We become videogame characters
Then we die and are buried and that’s life as we know it.
