Open Enrollment – Any child in MN can register in any public school system that isn’t “closed” to open enrollment. PLSAS is not closed for Kindergarten Forms available up front tonight
In District Transfer
• A PLSAS district resident can request placement at any of our Kindergarten sites in place of the school available by neighborhood. Parents provide transportation
• You can request AM or PM Half Day K outside of your neighborhood assignment. Parents provide transportation
• You can request an In District Transfer if it is necessary for your child to be transported by school bus from a day care within our school boundaries.
A simple “In District Transfer Form” is all that is needed, prior to April 15. Register at the school you HOPE to attend. Notification of school placement will occur shortly after April 15.

Before and After School Age Care for Half Day K students at Edgewood School
Site hours are 6:30 AM until school starts and from the end of the
school day to 6:00 PM. The other half of the school day as well as before or after school only care, and is provided by Kids’ Company staff at the Edgewood Site and correlated with district Kindergarten curriculum.
Options for less than full week care, 2 day minimum with flexibility of
hours. Can begin once a child is 4 years of age, through the summer following kindergarten

Provides an experience for children who can benefit from an extended day in a structured learning environment
Extended Day K will also include lunch, recess, Brain Break, an additional 25 minute specialist time per day (ie. Phy Ed., Art etc.)
Parent fee charged for 2nd half of the day Scholarships are available for district residents
and are dependent on federal free and reduced lunch income guidelines

Before and After School Age Care for Extended Day K students at each K-5 elementary site. Site hours are 6:30 AM until school starts and from the end of the school day to 6:00 PM
Registration required through Kids’ Company
$2835.00 Per year - $315.00 per month for 9 months. Same cost as the 2012-13 school year. Deposit payment is due in June (deposit represents
April 14’ payment). The next 8 payments are August-April.
Flex Spend option may not be an available option
due to IRS laws. Check with your individual providers for dependent care provisions.
FACTS MGMT. An online 3rd party tuition agency that ensures safe transactions between the district and your banking institutions.
ACCOUNT MUST BE SET UP BY May 1, 2013
Deposit Due June 1 for $315.00 regardless of method
THEN in AUGUST
Single payment of $2480.00. This method represents a $40.00 savings in the yearly tuition and is paid by check directly to the district.
OR
Monthly $315.00 automatic bank payment or invoice through FACTS August-March.
OR
Monthly $315.00 credit card payments through FACTS using MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. 2.5% charged by credit companies.
(VISA doesn’t allow use for tuition)
On or before August 10, 2013 a $40.00 registration fee is deducted. A $275.00 refund of the April payment will then occur
On or after August 11, 2013 a 50% refund of 157.50 will occur and the August payment if made will be refunded in full On or after August 17, 2013 no refund of the April or August payment will be made
Partial Scholarship $150.00 per month Full Scholarship – No Fee
Scholarship are based on Family Size and
Income according to Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Criteria
Scholarships are only available to qualifying district residents

Early Childhood Screening Required by state law prior to starting Kindergarten.
Schedule an appointment to complete screening by the start of school at 952-226-0975. Green card up front
Kindergarten Registration
February 19th, please bring all of your completed forms to help us speed up the process. A short program regarding the specifics of Kindergarten at each specific bldg. will be presented at each site.
March 8: Registration deadline to ensure that we can best provide for family and student needs. All registrations must be on site at a district building or be postmarked by March 11th.
April 12: Extended-Day K registrants will be notified of tuition procedures and scholarships on or before April 12th.
May 1: DEADLINE FOR CREATING A REQUIRED EXTENDED DAY KINDERGARTEN PAYMENT ACCOUNT.
June 1: One month’s tuition deposit of $315 (April payment) will be assessed.
June 15: Alternate Bus Stop Request forms are due to district office for any stops not at a students home address. All other students will have stops automatically set up for their home address provided at registration.
August 1: Your 2nd tuition payment will be made via your FACTS
