Dear KCS Friends and Families,

It is with great excitement and appreciation that I am writing to share with you the news that the

Kingston Ancient Order of Hibernians has decided to make our school the beneficiary of this

year’s Shamrock Run! The faculty, staff, and I could not be more appreciative of this act of

largess on the part of the AOH.

As such, we will be forgoing our usual parade float this year and asking all of our school families

to run, or walk, in the Shamrock Run. The run takes place on March 11, 2018. Ms. Metelski, our

run coordinator, posted information in the on-line weekly family “envelope” to get families

registered as part of the KCS group. Please see our website for details. It is our hope that

everyone will turn out to support the community event that is benefitting our children.

As always, KCS parade hoodies and t-shirt are being sold through the school offices. Be sure

your family wears them proudly on the big day to show our school spirit! Let’s hope the luck of

the Irish brings us beautiful weather for the run!

Join the KCSFO, KCS Faculty, Students, and Friends as we participate in the

30th Annual Shamrock Run

March 11, 2018 12:50pm

The Ancient Order of Hibernians has selected Kingston Catholic School to receive a portion of the proceeds

collected from the Shamrock Run entry fees.

To show our appreciation, the KCSFO encourages all parents and families to register for the Shamrock Run. (See registration forms posted in weekly envelope.)

We will not be sponsoring a float in this year’s parade.

KCS community members who are not running competitively, can meet at Academy Green where we will line up behind the runners and walk together. Don’t forget to wear your KCS St.

Patrick’s Day sweatshirts! (Order forms posted in weekly envelope.)

Anyone not up for the walk is welcome to meet at Kingston Catholic School St. Mary’s Campus on Broadway.

KCSFO is working on putting together a display – drop us an email if you are interested in helping out!
