Incorporated in 1991, KFIL is the flagship company of the Kirloskar Group.

KFIL was promoted by Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) and Shivaji Works Limited (SWL).

And later in the year 2007, SWL was acquired by KFIL. KFIL is

incorporated with the objective of catering to the requirement of high quality Pig Iron, Intricate thin walled grey iron castings to the emerging in Tractor, Auto, Engine and other related segments.

KFIL is determined to maintain its position as market leader in Pig Iron and Grey Iron Castings business.

Highlights

Pig Iron Plant:

• Demand for Pig Iron remained stable which helped to maintain

realisation with minor price corrections.

• Prices of input materials other than Iron ore is stable. Prices of

Iron ore in Karnataka remain at higher level inspite of

international prices having come down, because of local supply

problems due to Mines closure.

• Stability in Exchange Rates.

Highlights

Foundry :

• Inspite of downward trend in both Auto and Tractor segments,

we were able to maintain good order position Foundry.

• Working on ramping up of volumes for new moulding line at

Koppal plant.

• Settled the price negotiation with most of the casting customers.

• Machining facilities enhanced at Solapur plant to cater to the

needs of customers. Installation of additional Semi-finished

Machining Facility is in progress at Solapur plant
