By the millennium, it was evident that Perrin & Rowe had outgrown their current factory and we moved to a huge 55,000 sqft facility in 2003, enabling us continued growth for years to come. In a few short years, the Company also acquired premises in the midlands to secure the casting, polishing and plating processes, and also a production facility to allow the launch of our own Sanitary ware range.

Today, Perrin & Rowe is the largest independent manufacturer of authentic kitchen and bathroom products in Great Britain, employing over 140 people. We have redefined the market needs for classically British decorative brassware and managed to keep skilled manufacturing jobs here in the UK.

With factories in Tamworth, Rainham and Wolverhampton, all Perrin & Rowe products are manufactured from raw materials by our skilled team of engineers. With an ongoing commitment to preserving skillsets, we offer a number of apprenticeship schemes with an emphasis on teaching participants the engineering skills required to manufacture the high quality products offered by Perrin & Rowe.

Established in 1978 by Bob Perrin and Greg Rowe, the company started life in a large barn in Bob’s back garden in East London, engineering and manufacturing components for other brassware companies.

Early on in the 1980’s, Perrin & Rowe obtained a reputation as excellent problem solvers and accomplished engineers, we expanded and acquired our first factory in Rainham, Essex. Now we could really start to develop our own products, not just components for other companies.

The world’s first tap containing Triflow Technology was invented and patented in 1991. A three way tap that dispensed hot, cold & filtered water. Quickly becoming an established market leader and within a few years was selling around the globe.

Having established a reputation for excellence and quality, Bob Perrin & Greg Rowe were now keen to expand their own brand and in 1993, the first Perrin & Rowe kitchen products started to roll out of our factory.

A natural progression of the success achieved within the kitchen industry led us to develop and produce the first range of bathroom brassware in 1995. It was clear that the UK market had been waiting for products such as ours, with timeless, beautifully proportioned designs, considered function and lifelong quality all built in. It also became obvious that other markets desired these qualities and an exclusive distribution deal with Rohl in the US quickly brought Perrin & Rowe fittings to an overseas market craving English tradition and excellence. Australia and New Zealand followed and all these relationships are still going strong today.

Environmentally Aware – In the last 3 years we have made significant reductions in our power and water consumption, as well as recycling brass waste, machine oils and packaging.

Although The Perrin & Rowe Filtration collection may be a new arrival in the filtration market, the technology behind our product derives from the world’s first three way tap, delivering not only hot and cold water but also filtered water through a dedicated waterway. A system that ensures the filtered water is not cross-contaminated by the standard mains hot and cold water. It incorporates the highest standard Swiss made ceramic filter which significantly reduces harmful substances such as chemical and biological contaminates as well as the most heavy metals and particles as small as 0.2 microns, while leaving untouched beneficial minerals such as fluoride, magnesium and calcium.

The Ceramic filter incorporated in the Filtration system is one of the highest performing filters available in the market today and is made by Swiss manufacturer Katadyn. The cartridge is made from sintered diatomaceous earth and has a micro porous structure impregnated with silver which is known for its antibacterial action. The porous structure is able to eliminate particles down to 0.2 micron (0.0002mm) in size. One pound of carbon contains a surface area of roughly 125 acres and can absorb literally thousands of different chemicals. Activated carbon is carbon which has a slight electro-positive charge added to it, making it even more effective in eliminating chemicals and impurities. As the water passes over the positively charged carbon surface, the negative ions of the contaminants are drawn to the surface of the carbon granules.

Please note: rinses must not be connected directly to the mains supply of cold water and that the maximum recommended pressure is 5 bar (75psi). Taps selected with rinses will have single-flow aerated spouts.

Available for most Perrin & Rowe kitchen taps, the hand rinse makes a tap a multi-purpose workstation. Easy to use and versatile, the rinses can be positioned to the left or the right of the sink. They have insulated handles and a flexible hose (standard length 120cm) ensuring safety and convenience. Hot, cold or mixed water is diverted to the rinse once the button is pressed.

Perrin & Rowe hand rinses have been specially designed to cope with even low water pressures; the integration of a patented diverter means that they can be effective with just 1 bar (15psi) of pressure. Perrin & Rowe hand rinses are avail-able in five different designs to complement each collection. A full range of finishes are also available.

bi-flow spouts

Products with bi-flow spouts are ideally suited to installations with differing hot and cold supply pressures,

especially where the hot supply is gravity fed.If your installation has equal pressures then you may prefer a single flow spout, all of our bi-flow products are available as a single flow, just prefix the product code with

the letter A.Minimum recommended installation pressure = 0.2bar.

Single flow spouts are ideally installed in systems with equal pressures. Spouts are fitted with an aerator, providing the uniform ‘Champagne style’ flow as standard.Minimum recommended installation pressure = 1bar. A

flow straightener is also available on request.

regulated spouts

If you have high pressures or are concerned about water consumption then you may wish to regulate the flow. All of our products are available with regulated single flow

spouts just prefix the product code with AR.Minimum recommended installation pressure = 2bar.

The world’s finest fireclay sinks, handmade in the uk.

Each Perrin & Rowe fireclay sink is lovingly created by Shaws of Darwen using time honoured traditional methods and materials, bearing testament to the craftsmen who produce them.

Perrin & Rowe sinks demonstrate the natural characteristics of fireclay ceramics and are created by a ‘slipcasting’ process. A mixture of clay and water is poured by hand into a porous mould. When the newly formed sinks are dry enough, craftsmen remove them from their moulds before hand finishing the sinks through a process of sponging and fettling to create a smooth finish. Following a gradual drying period of up to 40 hours, the sinks are then prepared with a ground coat before being glazed. Firing in specially designed kilns at temperatures of up to 1200 degrees centigrade completes this rigorous process.

Whilst modern technology has improved manufacturing methods over the years, the principles of this handcrafted product remain the same. Traditional craftsmanship is as important now as it’s always been.
