Application Remove peaks on the textured backgrounds using a scraper. Textured surfaces installed before the year 2000 should be assumed to contain asbestos. Contact a licensed company to take a sample for testing before beginning any work. The presence of asbestos can only be determined by professional testing.

Roll on Knauf ProRoll Max at a thickness up to 2mm to the surface using a 9 inch medium pile paint roller. Two coats of Knauf ProRoll Max may be required, with a 1mm coat of Knauf ProRoll Light to finish. Maximum total thickness 5mm.

Allow 12 - 18 hours, or overnight, for each layer to dry. If necessary, the final surface can be sanded with a hand held sander or grinder with shaft (e.g. Giraffe) when fully dry.

The product can be applied over existing dispersion paint. Not suitable for application on Latex paint (high risk of bubbles).

Cleaning Clean containers and tools with water immediately after use.

Working time and drying The material hardens by drying. Open time after application: depending on the plaster substrate, application thickness and room temperature.

Application temperature/climate Do not apply at material, room and/or substrate temperatures below +10°C. Protect the applied material against frost until fully hardened and dry.

Coatings and liningsAlways pretreat and prime surfaces filled with Knauf ProRoll Max before the application of coatings and linings (wallpapers).

Use only adhesives made of methyl cellulose. After wallpapering with paper or fibre glass wallpapers as well as after application of resin / cellulose plasters, quick drying must be ensured through adequate airing. For walls where wallpaper has been stripped, wash surface thoroughly with an appropriate cleaning solution and allow to dry.

Knauf ProRoll Max is not suitable as a substrate for tiles. Before the application of high quality paint, always add a thin layer of ProRoll Light and prime the surface.
