GAME NOTES• UT and ETSU will meet for the first time.• ETSU head coach Randy Sanders is

entering his first season with the Buc-caneers. Sanders played at Tennessee from 1984-1988 and coached with the Vols in some capacity from 1989-2005. Prior to being hired at ETSU, Sanders coached quarterbacks from 2013-2017, adding the co-offensive coordinator title in 2014. Sanders was on staff with Pruitt on the 2013 BCS National Champion Florida State team.

• ETSU resurrected its football program in 2015 after disbanding the program following the 2003 season.

• Phillip Fulmer assisted ETSU with bringing back its football program. Fulmer was hired by ETSU as a "spe-cial assistant to the athletic director" in 2013 and helped the Bucs relaunch the program two years later.

• Tennessee and ETSU's campuses are separated by just 106 miles.
