KOMPOZYT-EXPO® – the key trade show in the industryComposite materials fi nd applications in almost every area of life: in construction, aviation, the automotive industry, the rail industry, the food sector, medicine, and sport. Th ey have a huge potential for growth, as evidenced by the increasing number of exhibitors from Poland and beyond at the KOMPOZYT-EXPO® International Trade Fair for Composite Materials, Technologies, and Products.

• A new item on the agenda this year is the Active Zone, where companies will present sports equipment (e.g. bicycles, motor-bikes, kayaks, F1 cars, unmanned-vehicle models...) produced with the use of innovative composite materials and modern technologies.

• As always, the trade show will be an opportunity to fi nd out about modern materials, ranging from resins and fi bres to gel-coats and fi llers, all the way to intermediate products and composite products, as well as the machines used for their processing.

• Th e trade show is also an opportunity to meet representatives of the industry interested in improving energy effi ciency in their plants, and presenting the broad range of applications of composite materials.

• Th is year, we will welcome companies from, e.g., the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Swit-zerland, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

LERG S.A. is one of the biggest Polish manufacturers of synthetic resins used in various branches of indu-stry – building engineering, motorisation, furniture making or mining. Over 130 thousand tons of resins are sold annually and almost 50% of them are expor-ted to more than 24 countries worldwide. Th e main off er of the company covers polyester and novolak re-sins as well as resins for wood derivatives, insulation materials and laminated plastics, gel coats, formalin. Recently LERG has introduced the slow-burning ha-logen-free Estromal® 11.DFR-01 resin into the mar-ket that found its application in the rail transport and wherever a  very high level of incombustibility, very low toxicity and density of generated smoke is required. Composites made on the base of Estromal® 11.DFR-01 resin only and using this resin and FlexCo-at IS FR gel coat meet the requirements presented in the EN 45545-2:2013 standard.Th e LERG’s off er includes also Estromal®14.DRT unsa-turated polyester resin of terephthalic type and advan-ced chemical resistance. It is intended for production of polyester and glass composites by infusion method and RTM. In application, it has a very low warming-up temperature during laminate aft er-bake at the same time reaching the proper hardness. In acc. with stan-dard DIN 16946, the resins of this series belong to the following two types: - type 1130 – rigid engineering resin with HDT of min. 90°C,- type 1140 – less-rigid engineering resin with HDT of min. 90°C.
