The design of elevator doors and theirsurroundings is challenging:
Smooth operation of the doors isimportant in the flow of passengertraffic. Fast, reliable and quiet doorsminimize waiting time and improveconvenience.
The entrances must provide thepassengers with safe, easy andconvenient access to the elevatorsand landing fixtures.
Elevator, lobby, and entrance designhas to meet both aesthetical andfunctional requirements. The entrancesform the structural interface betweenthe building and the elevator, andchannel the passengers between thelandings and the elevator cars.
The KONE AMD doors are designedand engineered to meet thesedemands, combining safety, performance, durability and attractivestyling.

The 50 mm wide NarrowFrame reduces the visualimpact of the landingentrance, helping to blend itwith the lobby design. Theentrance jambs can befinished either in the wallfinish or in the door panelmaterial. The flush or surfacemounted landing fixtures arefixed to the wall.
