National Youth Science Forum On Sunday, 29 July our 4 National Youth Science Forum candidates Meem, Chandler, Pedme and Ama went to Grenfell for the District interviews. Amali and Paige were also there as Alumni helping out with the selection procedures. Good luck to all! Today I had the opportunity to meet with our two captains. Not that this was an isolated occurrence – we meet regularly. What did make this an opportune moment was the communicative way in which these students shared information and experiences, both for themselves and for the students they represent. But, again, this is something that happens on a regular basis. From time to time we are all given the opportunity to be reminded of what is good and what is to be valued. Our captains reminded me of that today. Their conversations about their recent experiences (East Timor and the NYSE Forum) and student feedback on school developments (the new front gate and the new PB4L signage) further entrenched my faith in our student community and the wonderful possibilities they offer for our country’s future. Having been away from our students for the Term 2 break I know that I speak on behalf of all staff in saying how good it is to be back at school and in the company of our students. May I take this opportunity to say ‘welcome back’ and to wish everyone the very best for our Term 3 events, some of which you’ll read about in this newsletter. Norman Meader Principal

National Youth Science Forum

On Sunday, 29 July our 4 National Youth Science Forum candidates Meem, Chandler, Pedme and Ama went to Grenfell for the District interviews.
