Luffing Jib Duties

List of main refurbishment work carried out over recent years to Krupp/Rosenkranz 1000t truck crane.

1) All outrigger vertical rams, rechromed, sealed pressure tested. a) Lock valves repaired. b) All outriggers hydraulic pipes replaced. 2) “Slave” Perkins diesel engine pack on skid added to equipment to allow jacking of

crane base without upper engine. For transporting can be mounted on crane itself. 3) New hubs and tyres on rear bogies brakes also rebuilt on this bogey.

4) All air system completely replaced.

5) New swing around superstructure cabin, hydraulically tiltable.

6) All new crane controls. Electronic proportional control of hydraulics. Cab is easily removable. 7) Superstructure electrics all replaced, cables, wires, switches, contractors, new

enclosures. 8) New safe load indicator P.A.T. manufacture.

9) Main pumps, refurbished and tested.

10) New running ropes.

11) New pendant ropes.

12) Slew gearbox completely rebuilt.

13) Engine rebuilt.

14) Hoist one and hoist two motors refurbished.

15) New bearings in all sheaved.

16) All electrical cables up boom replaced.

17) New over hoist limited switch installed.

18) New wind meter installed.

19) All load cells rebridged and recalibrated.
