Students must participate in at least one enrichment activity each week, choosing from the list of activities. It is advised that students read the blurb for each activity before making their choices.

The Student Enrichment Option Selection Form must be returned by the deadline, indicated on page 3.

Students will have opportunities to provide feedback and review activities at the end of each term. To monitor progress in the development of ‘BRIDGES’ skills, students will use the same activity tracking and review sheet throughout an academic year. Students’ feedback is also encouraged throughout the year and can be given using the suggestion box at the KS3 reception or through the form’s enrichment representative.

The aims of the enrichment programme are that, through challenging activities, students will be highly motivated and encouraged to explore unexpected opportunities and interests. By reviewing their progress and experiencing new approaches to learning, pupils will be encouraged to become successful learners.

Dear Parent/Carer,

The Enrichment Programme has been a great success in the last

academic year and I am looking forward to this continued trend.

Students attended their clubs regularly and fully involved themselves

with the school community and ethos. Could I please respectfully

request that if your son/daughter cannot attend a club for any reason

you write a note for the enrichment teacher prior to the session. Could

I also ask that you support your son/daughter with their options form

and encourage them to consider the number of sessions that they can

realistically attend. We view enrichment as part of the school day and

expect one hundred percent attendance and commitment to the sessions

that students choose. On the rare occasions of absences, students must

present an absence note (written by parent/carer) to the enrichment

teacher prior to the day of enrichment.

Yours sincerely,

Karen Clarke (Lead Teacher for Enrichment Provision)

Instructions

Access the enrichment booklet for spring 2017 through the school’s website.

Read through the information booklet carefully.

Decide on the activities you would like to take part in and the days you are available to stay after school.

The expectation is that you attend at least one after school club per week.

You will be asked to provide your first, second and third choices for no less than two days. This is to make it more probable that you will get a first choice enrichment. Look at the exemplar option selection form for guidance.

Fill in the Student Enrichment Option Selection Form.

Return your completed Student Enrichment Option Selection Form to your tutor by the deadline of Monday 21st November, 2016.

On Friday 2nd December, tutors will tell you of the activities you will attend during the spring term.

Write the name of activities, day, teacher and location in your planner. Enrichment clubs will start on Wednesday 4th January, 2017.

Attend your enrichment activities and ENJOY.
