Fabricated Mower Deck (48”, 54”)The Z400-Series are equipped with a 48”, 54”mower deck. Within their 5-inch-deep welded structure, these mower decks provide a generous internal deck volume that contributes to enhancing both mowing performance and clipping discharge performance. Whether long, wet, or thick, grass is powerfully raised for efficient mowing.

Large-diameter, Wide-tread Rear Tires24” diameter, 9.5” tread rear tires are fitted to the Z400 Series. Due to the fact that ground pressure from these tires is notably low, potential turf damage is significantly reduced.

Operator Controlled Discharge Chute (Option)As left-behind clippings can be quite unsightly, the Operator Controlled Discharge Chute (OCDC) option allows turning the clippings discharge function “ON” or “OFF” with a simple movement of the discharge selector lever conveniently located within easy reach of the operator.

Mulching Kit (Option)With the optional mulching kit, clippings are finely cut for an outstanding mulching performance.

Light and Smooth Steering Lever OperationDampers have 3 adjustment positions to change control lever resistance to operator's preference. Consisting of a pipe that is 25mm in diameter, the lever is easier to hold while maneuvering with utmost comfort.

Convenient Control System LocationFeaturing a simple and easy-to-operate design, the operation panel (including the key switch, throttle lever, choke lever, and PTO switch) is conveniently and integrally located on the right fender.

Hands-free Parking BrakeThe parking brake is easily engaged or disengaged simply by stepping on the parking brake pedal conveniently located within easy reach. There is never any need for the operators to remove their hands from the steering levers.

K-Lift – Push and Release Lift and Lowering Deck SystemStep on the mower pedal to lift the Z400 mower, select the appropriate mowing height with the dial, and step on the mower pedal once again to lower the mower to the selected height. Mowing height is, therefore, easily adjusted without having to remove or insert the pin as required by competitors’ models.

Seat Opening MechanismThe seat is fully opened with a simple touch to provide easy access to the fuses.

Quick Dial Height Adjustment SystemMowing height is easily adjusted by simply using the mowing height adjustment dial located within easy reach. All the necessary adjustments can be made while comfortably remaining in the seat.

Including malfunctions caused by material defects and/or defective workmanship, Kubota warrants the Z400-Series to be in good working order under normal use and maintenance. For residential operations, the warranty period is 4 years/ 500 hours. For commercial operations, the warranty period is 2 years with no hour limitation.

Deluxe High-back Seat with Slide FunctionThe seat features a thick cushion construction for comfort. To adjust its position to best suit the operator’s build and the desired posture, it slides 76 mm in both forward and backward directions.
