Known as the glass police station because reflective glass is used over the entire facade, this building has completely changed the public's image of the police.

Basically it serves two different functions.

Misumi Harbor Ferry Terminal

Misumi Harbor Ferry Terminal is a concrete shell structure continuously reinforced, like a conch, by a double-spiral ramp.

The cone is 34 meters in diameter and 25 meters in height.

In this project, great care was taken to harmonize the building with its relatively low, humanly-scaled environment.

The storage, wrapped in a metallic membrane, floats above the roof. This storage, which serves as a symbol of the museum, is a "Shosoin of the future" .

The site is in the northern part of the prefecture, where the Iwabaru Tumuli are found. That group of ancient tombs includes the Futagozuka Tumulus, considered one of the most beautiful examples of a "keyhole" tumulus in Japan.
