Conventional urinals do not solve the purpose on there own.

The structure and material of conventional urinal allows urine to stay inside the urinal body, making it unhygienic. To remove this leftover, water is required.

Urine do not have any odor, the odor is created when a chemical reaction take place in presence of a catalyst over the period of time creates Ammonia(odor) and carbon-dioxide(Heat)

Each Flush based urinal uses At Least 2.5 Liters of Water on each flush.

Assuming a facility, comprising 100 males, with average urinating frequency of 4 times in a day, total water usage:

= 100 x 4 x 2.5 Liters = 1000 Liters per day

Hence, total water saving in an year = 1000 x 365

Electricity Charges: 1.96 units of electricity is required to pump up 1000 liters of water (Approx). Each unit costs at least Rs. 6, even for domestic purpose.

Electricity is used to pump up water to overhead tanks and batteries for sensors.

A medium capacity electric pump has wattage of about 3.7 KW . If that motor runs even for 1 hour, that consumes 3.7 units of electricity.

Saving Cost:

Charges: As these urinals are cMaintenance ompletely maintenance free, so no chemicals need to be used, which can save the chemical cost as well as the manpower charges, up to 80% compared to flush based urinals.

Savings on STP: Not using water means drastic decrease in the volume of waste. It can reduce the total volume of waste by 40% which in turn reduces the capacity requirement of STP to only 60% compared to what would have been required in Flush based urinals.

Savings on Initial Installation: As no water connection or sensor connection is needed, it saves all that is invested in case of flush based urinals for piping and fitting, sensor cost, scheduled repairing of water pipelines etc.
