LED

An LED (light emitting diode) is a semiconductor which has an extremely long life. At 50,000 hours of use at a favorable ambient temperature the LED will be at 70% of it’s original light output. It is commonly suggested that we replace LED lamps at 50% of their original light output. LED lights are cool running and contain no toxic material such as mercury or lead. They emit no ultra-violet rays or infrared and can be safely recycled.

LEDs are destroyed by heat thus the heat sink is a key component in the life of an LED. The LED heat sink removes the heat from the LEDs by thermal conduction, keeping the LEDs cool. Our LED line uses a maximum surface area to force air flow away from the fixture.

LED Lamps

Our line of LED lamps are truly bright enough to replace incandescent, halogen and fluorescent lighting. The Pharox60 is a perfect replacement for your standard incandescent lamp. The MR-16 is a true retrofit lamp, which uses 12V AC input, using only 6 W of energy. The GU-10 lamp uses only 6W of energy. Our PAR series lamps are ideal for spot lighting or flood lighting.

Cool White - 6000-7000 kelvin - A shade of white that has an underlying blue tone.It perpetuates a contemporary look and feel that is very popular in art galleries, jewelry stores and the retail industry.

Warm white - 2700-3300 kelvin - The most popular range where warm white color most closely mimics that of traditional incandescent lighting. Most sought after in residential and commercial applications.

Going Green

Over the past 100 years new lighting products such as fluorescent lamps or halogen lighting have been embraced without any regard for the impact to our environment. Incandescent and halogen lighting use a vast amount of energy; fluorescent tubes are more efficient, but contain liquid mercury, which is highly toxic. LED lights use a fraction of the energy, contain no toxic material and the majority of the components can be easily recycled at the end of their life.
