Without any special middleware or server add-ons, the HyPAS-enabled KYOCERA MFP becomes the on-ramp between your files stored in your network account and you at the KYOCERA MFP. The application provides numerous scanning features including PDF, TIFF or JPEG file types as well as choice of color or black and white, resolution and a variety of other options. Most importantly this application establishes a direct link with your existing Active Directory account.

With KYOCERA HomePOINT Advanced users can scan to, browse and print from their network home folder directly from the MFP control panel.

KYOCERA HomePOINT ADVANCED

But KYOCERA HomePOINT does not stop there. The advanced version of the application allows you to browse through sub-folders within your network home folder, create new sub-folders and even print the PDF documents that already reside in your home folder. This ability to browse sub-folders also allows you to place the newly digitized document in a specific sub-folder saving you from the extra step of going back to your PC or workstation and moving it to the proper place. For a more streamlined experience, KYOCERA HomePOINT Advanced enables you to use your HID card to login to the application.

HOW IT WORKS

On the KYOCERA MFP’s Touch Screen, touch the “HomePOINT” soft key. This brings you to the “User Select” screen. At this point simply select your account and enter your password. You can also use your HID card to login to the application. Now your personal network home folder is displayed on the MFP’s touch screen. You can search for a specific folder, browse folders, print PDFs that are in any of the folders, add a new folder and scan a document into your home folder or sub-folders within the home folder.
